French gave the Statue of Liberty to the US in 1885 and I presumed the same artist made a smaller version for the French in VN. I thought the French were there just for war until watching this film. they did turn this country into a wealthy region of the far East.

My goodness. Electric trollybus? :O shame that pilot scheme did not continue. Would have improved the air no end! Not so sure the trams could not have been saved either. Vietnam is full of industrious people :) Now we enjoy scooter armageddon... Amazing footage and photos.
