What i dont understand is if anyone wants to start at woodall Spa, there aren't any signs from the town to where the trail actually starts i had to ask 5 people before i found a guy who actually knew where the starting point was! Lincolnshire council or sustrans really need to up there game with signage

A couple of years ago I visited the Cinder Track too and me and friend wild camped in the woods at Hayburn Wyke. If you've never been its always worth the detour as there's a secluded golden beach complete with waterfall!

It's been maybe 4-5 years since I first watched this video and it really inspired me to go and check it out for myself all those years ago. Nowadays I ride if often along there whenever I can, I have even wild camped along the river bank near Woodhall Spa. The only bit I hate about this route is the road section into Tattershall - I regularly avoid going there. Watching this video today it's interesting to see how the river level should normally look! This Autumn/Winter the River Witham looks like a lot like I would imagine the Amazon to be!

Did this ride this morning but parked for free on the bottom road next to Ladybower. It is a fantastic ride on a nice day (5.09.2023) Thank you so much for providing these videos. They have found me so many routes but I am limited due to only having an Ado A20+ Regards

I live in South Lakes (as was) and want to make this journey. Great video and I'm about to watch the second one - but, why in the penultimate scene do you (seem to) turn off the 'big roundabout' and up Windermere Road? That certainly isn't flat - whereas the continuing NCN700 is and takes you straight past the Darby Arms. Navigationally challenged? If so, I hope it was temporary! It does look (in the closing sequence) as if you are continuing along the NCN700, but I am not entirely sure. Anyway, great videos (apart from the awful - repetitive - 'musak'!) I'm very glad to have found this page!

What a great pleasant video and not one Yank in sight. used to ride along here 30 years ago when I lived in Huddersfield. I hope to ride it again soon. There are so many me me me videos on youtube this has been refreshing and a breath of fresh air to watch, Many Thanks Trev. Been cycling for 40 years.

Just watched your Tissington trail video. Pity you didn't jydt pop into village of Tissington. Beautiful village with pond & very nice popular cafe. With many seats outdoor on grass. Next door to Tissington Hall Been on that trail numerous times. As I had a caravan on seasonal pitch in biggin nr Hartington for over 10yrs. As my wife died in 2021, I changed and bought Campervan. But had loads of good memories of different cycling routes around there. A nice circular one is fro. Parsley Hay. Down Tissington trail as far as biggin bridge. Come off there & turn left up Rd for 200yds to A515 Straight over onto ncn route up hill & down vere left to high peak trail. Then left back towards parsley Hay.

Annoying music but very informative

Just be aware the tea shop is now gone, best you get is the pub now or Starbucks

Did you use a courier to transport your luggage between accomodations? Update: after watching parts 2 to 4 I can see you had a support driver and vehicle.

Doing this ride at the weekend, although in the reverse direction starting at Glasson - was great to see it in so much detail in advance!

This is a GREAT cycling video and shows this route well... I completed almost all this route using the GPX file. I only changed the end part as I live in Sutton in Ashfield and decided to go through Hallow Wood, Thieves wood and around Kings Mill kings Reservoir towards the end... Yes it has its inclines and yes the surface in some areas is more bumpy that other but I really enjoyed it... Without this video I wouldn't have known these routes existed... I'm not originally from the East Midlands. Thanks you

Thanks for posting this video. Planning to do this ride in August this year. Not used to climbs where I live so was good to see the one out of Settle. That does look challenging but seems quiet so just need to concentrate on keeping the legs going. Will watch the others.

the old railway you asked to identify was the Hull and Barnsley railway stairfoot section only ever used for freight as passenger trains only ran between Hull and cudworth

Large knobby tires with puncture resistant features would be desirable on this trail.

Please please switch off the tinny repetitive background "music" on your videos. It is so distracting and annoying. The only way I can watch them is with the sound off.

Thanks for this video - but please cut out the tinny, repetitive background "muzak" it is so annoying and distracting - just the sounds of the countryside with the commentary would be better.

Thank you for the video but would have been much better without the tinny repetitive "muzak backing track" distracting and annoying. The sounds of the sea / birds / wheels on the track alongside the commentary would have been enough.
