Watching this , I just got the Stella . Nervous. I do have her in leca and I watch my water levels consistently. I tend to over water when in soil.

I collect rainwater during spring & summer & water from the dehumidifier in my basement & water all of my 50+ house plants with it.

I'm building my own as I'm not paying all that money for large wooden containers, I can build my own for a fraction of the cost

Did you ever find a good replacement humidifier? I am looking to get one like the Levoit LV600S but unsure whether to get it after watching this.

Ornata is the biggest pest magnet. I struggled with mine until I introduced beneficial bugs 🐞 to eat the spider mites. I use Californicus predatory mites. Amazing results!

Knock on wood no bugs on prayer plants but I wipe leaves every week must be working

I had ordered a Dottie took a week to get it was so wet water was running out of box have had 4 months I've reported 4times roots were black last time I took out of pot I washed roots with liquid zest soap now I see some white roots and it has 2leaves

Is rain water better if at all possible ?

I put worm casting ,and sometimes diluted coffee and sometimes scatter coffee grounds on all plants

I wipe all my prayer plants leaves weekly

I divided my medallion and they are huge

My prayer plants all sit on a ledge between kitchen and living room i do not use a humidifier i water them the same way i water all my other plants,

You want to try using stress coat in your water . Think you will find it will solve a lot of your problems

I have this humidifier, so far, so good with it except I hate filling it from the bottom. What a poor Design.

Thanks for such detailed guidance! I just bought one from a garden centre, it was 80% off and when i googled it it said it was rare so i had to have it. Then i realised it was probably rare as people have such trouble keeping it alive 😅 it's been a few days now, and it seems to like my bathroom with an east facing window. Not sure how it will cope witha british winter but it has definitely grown a bit this week!

Well thats why it keep failing on you. You suppose to clean a humidifier once a week, not once a month or a quarter. This is your fault, not the machine....

You just complain too much.

I appreciate this video so much. I saw one of these plants at a greenhouse a week ago and i have spent just about every waking minute thinking about it since. Im absolutely crazy person obsessed with it but i am also terrified i am going to kill it since most of my research has told me they are basically impossible. I decided to give it a try anyways and have been doing even more research to find exactly what to do to give this beautiful plant the best chance. This video is so thorough and i feel a little more confident i can make it work. Thanks!

It was hard for me to keep a croton happy when I lived in Ohio and grew it indoors. Now I’m in zone 9b and have it growing everywhere in my yard. Direct sunlight really is the key. I’ve got the standard Petra ones, a Picasso and a Mammy and they do well in full sun with the Florida heat and humidity.

I've had spider mites on one of my monesteras. Everything worked out but that plant hasn't been the same. I think I went over board with the alcohol spray. Knock on wood they didn't spread. I have a humidifier and have been using filtered water. I'll switch to distilled for my "special" calatheas. So glad I found your video!

Can you share how to do potting. I just got mine and lady said I may need to repot after having her for a week she isn't starting to turn brown

I just got mine today and its been on for over 2 hrs and hasn't moved from 20%. Idk what Im doing wrong.

I would not suggest that you put the humidifier in any container. Simply because if dose leak it’s also going to electrocute and blow a fuse/circuit breaker and you may possibly get electrocuted if you are standing in any water.

Ive also had bad luck with this same humidifier i no longer trust levoit i now use pure guardian humidifiers.

Finally added a warscewiczii today. I’ve had some success growing the red, lime and rabbit track prayer plants. Fingers crossed this one likes me ❤
