Oh my gosh, Iâm so sorry that youâve had to deal with this! There was SO much water I canât imagine having to deal with this, Iâm soo sorry. Itâs such a shame he wasnât insured and really disgusting that he was gaslighting you while you were trying to work with him and saying all those things about your basement being ugly like wtf! Good luck with the whole process and definitely a lesson to all of us about checking credentials before working with contractors. Sending good vibes that everything else goes smoothly â€ïž
Sorry to hear about the plumbing problem - your story may be a big help for other people in the same situation - the plants are beautiful love the 1st syngonium you re-potted.
Boy do I get it... I started my home project in 2019 and since then I've had so many problems... People suck. I srsly look 10 years older and I'm so done with this sh*t to the point I don't even want to deal with the remaining details which include a water heater... I can't even. Hugs.
Wow what a bummer with the water. I donât get what the guy done? Replacing a flow valve is so easy. Ohhhh I know, when he turned the water back on I bet he turned it all the way up so that made water flow way too much. Not sure you noticed but you called your Waraquaniuum a Warsiwicxi Calathea.( canât spell) Your Frosted Heart is so beautiful đđ Sounds like the guy didnât have a clue what he was doing. Terrible ruined carpet an walls, keep an eye out for mold an glad you didnât make any arrangements with him too fix it.
Iâm not sure what went wrong with the fill valve. I wish I did it myself. Funny about the warq, cause youâre absolutely right. I didnât notice until I was done editing and was like đ€đ€đ
So, so sorry for your disaster!! Cannot exactly relate to your story as I donât have a basement but I do have a pool with a water leveler that works on the same principle as a toilet float. Welcome to the joys of home ownership!! Would imagine that the words âLicensed, Bonded and Insuredâ are now etched on your brain and you have a list, or soon will have with copies in many different places, of names and telephone numbers of contacts for any and every emergency. Hope youâre all dried out!!
Etched in my brain is a good way to put it. Itâs the second thing out of my mouth after âcan you do this job.â That and getting them to say it in writing. Also key đ
You should be able to look up online with your Stateâs agency that issues Contractorâs Licenses - in Arizona itâs the Registrar of Contractors - to c
âŠâŠ.to check Licence status. You can also check corporate status (goodstanding) with Secretary of State or Corporation Commission or whatever they call it in your state.

Itâs a learning experience. At the end of all this, money is just money. It could have been so much worse.
Omg I'm so sorry for everything you had to go thru. Hope everything is going the right way now and all will turn out great.
Me, too. Iâm on my way to getting things fixed. Slowly but surely! đ

The Syngonium is so much cuter now that itâs upright. Very much improved.

I need to DIY and trust myself more. Relying on others to do things the right way and be open to being wrong is near impossible.
Sorry you had to go through this. On the bright side, before they mediate this, you could try mushroom farming!

@@SoiledPlant No biggy lol you had way more important things on your mind. đ
But itâs the principle!! Please think about contacting the Better Business Bureau. Just my thought.
Iâve got a small list of things Iâm going to pursue once this is more settled. Iâll add this to the list.
