You need a nice gate, dude
I think for the wah to be cranked you have to turn the knob towards you, or counter clockwise. The way you have it set up is on the lowest position. See the underside of the pedal "WAH range selector: CLOCKWISE: Low - COUNTER CLOCKWISE: High"
i have it completely cranked. did i say it was the other way around in the video??? 😭 cause if i did i messed up haha it is supposed to be cranked! send me the time stamp so i can edit it pleases
@@antonioppk_6433 Yea you're rolling the knob forward in the video and saying that is the cranked position. See 09:45 So for it to be cranked you wanna roll it towards you, or counter clockwise. If in doubt check the underside of your pedal. You also made the mistake in the 2021 video @ 06:45 and the 2022 @ 10:28 This is not meant as a diss my man, just helping out because your videos definitely helped me out!

Hola Antonio, una pregunta técnica, los psm-5 van alimentados con alguna fuente? O solo con puras pilas 9v porque veo que tiene dos entradas de alimentación, o son salidas, saludos de México, hace tiempo nos hablamos por insta 😂
esos no usan pilas de 9v. tienen un input de 9v en la parte de atras como los otros pedales de boss!:) saludos!!

Hey I got the 535 wah but I'm not sure which version. I have everything you have on the rev 3 except the big knob on the side only has 4 clicks instead of 6. Do you know which version I have? The 4th position on the one I have sounds pretty close to your version.
The chrono delay... you said it was in the rack, I want to know what part it is used in a song so I can hear it. Any hints?
its just used for pneuma 113-115 are the delay bpms

@@chesneytube1 in the studio and live he is using the providence for pneuma. the carbon copy might be for 7empest

What about the Boss RV-6 Reverb? He is using one of these now, I want to know what songs he uses it in. You can see it in photos of his current board.
that was 2020. he doesnt use it anymore. aa far as everyone knows he was only testing it out

Hi You my man are the most informative and that tone is absolutely spot on. I try to get it based on your hep but my budget for amps is not as big (I only have a Marshall mgfx 30) with a vh4 diezel pedal. I am currently in hospital having prostate cancer treatment and watching you my friend has kept my spirits up. Having even treat my self to the Adam Jones strap and brooch after seeing yours to go with my custom silverburst. Keep the great work up.

What a great array of pedals and the sounds you recreate are spot on. Embarrassingly I can't play an instrument but I know what I like to listen to and TOOL is one of those sounds. Thanks for sharing your skills.

Would a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Solo Head 3-Channel 100-Watt Guitar Amp Head 2000 - 2009 work w/ the Diezel pedal work for that? They're a lot more affordable on the used market than yours (the two-channel from the 90s)
if you have that mesa head you shouldnt use the vh4 pedal. i know a lot of people that use the amp by itself and it sounds amazing

Any way u can post the chorus ce5 settings cant find it anywhere. Also his guitar has .047 capacitors …u think that makes a big difference on his mid range tone?
i dont know his ce-5 settings :( he did use it during the recording of 10k days but not sure on the settings
I find it very interesting that he hasn't adapted to a DD-20, DD-200, or a DD-500. Would make delay situations so much easier. I started out playing a lot of Tool with just one DD-8 and messing around with the time knob to get what I needed for each song. Got very annoying. Didn't wanna fill my board with more delays, so I went and got a DD-20, loved it, but as I've been learning more and more Tool, those 5 presets got zapped up, and I didn't have a slot anymore for anything non-Tool lol, so now I just use a DD-500 and call it a day. Can name presets so there isn't confusion, and it is just a breeze. Great stuff! Always wondered what all AJ was doing with his stuff, and you're the closest at being able to explain it without having a full rig rundown. Lol.
I read he played this with an epilator that’s what gave it it’s metallic and choppy sound apparently

Thank you for this video. I primarily use MXR pedals and this video helped me dial in the flanger a little more and the wah which I was way off I did nt want to go out and buy a bunch of boss pedals just for tool stuff so this helped me get pretty close while keeping what I have
what MXR pedals do you have??
@@antonioppk_6433 Mostly evh stuff so phaser, flanger, chorus, carbon copy, reverb, tremolo 6 band eq. I have Dunlop stuff too being the volume and 535q, as well as the analog chorus but I mainly use the evh chorus now.
I believe that pedal in the beginning is also used on grudge and lateralus
