I am a WEST VIRGINIAN and I was fortunate enough to see MOSS in the HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL HI-LIGHTS on FRIDAY NIGHT. It was clear, EVEN THEN, that no one had ever seen such a talent. I predicted then, that MOSS would go down in history as the greatest football in the history of the game. I still say that if the coaches had ever truly understood what he was, then MOSS would have been even better than whatever records he did set. Still, he only barely touched the very tip of what he was. MOSS, the GREATEST OF ALL TIME.

Propaganda piece. This video does not demonstrate great route running. Most of these are curved, arched routes. Randy Moss does not have great short space agility which is why he's not great at tight routes that require greater quick twitch agility. You can talk about how smart Randy Moss is all day but you can't say he's a great route rinner because he doesn't have fluid hips and short space agility for that. This is why he was so often shut down in the playoffs when higher quality defenses that could rush the passer and took the top of the field away from him he had no answer for that and quite honestly could be taken out of the game mentally once he realized he was not going to have big yardage catches down there field. He was not willing to put in the work it takes against great defenses to consistently work the short and mid yardage routes all day to set up the big play against them.

I'm a lifelong Chicago Bears fan and to watch Randy Moss was like watching Deon Sanders, Barry Sanders and the great Walter Payton in their prime. He was unstoppable. No one could contain him. His speed. I watched the Thanksgiving game against the Cowboys in 1998 and Randy was a blur on the screen. I wish Chicago would've drafted him instead of Cade McKnown. Oh how we let Randy slip in that draft.

Chuck is a severely underrated back...he could do it all!

He was frustrating to watch as a fan of other teams, ball was away from his body and/or in the wrong hand and you would go, okay here we go, fumble. No...oh well, they got him anyway, oh, spin, okay, there go that man again. Plus, he would get to someone and break down for a move and the blocker would come to help and he wouldn't necessarily go to the blockers back and you'd think, what are you doing stupid...and of course he was setting up the next defender, not really worried about the one closest to him. I was hoping he would finally get the Vikes over the hurdle in the Superbowl but the Raiders beat him relentlessly.

Chris Carter was a master at pushing off the defenders to get himself open he taught Randy Moss this skill in The Freaks rookie season Randy was the most talented Receiver in the history of the NFL why he never won a Super Bowl I blame that on coaching and management the vikings could have and should have won multiple Super Bowls during Randy Moss's time in Minnesota and they should have never traded him away but the owner and coach at the time got their egos hurt when Randy complained about the vikings offense and coaching and game plans they said we will show you and traded him away to one of the worst teams in the league at that time the Oakland Raiders

In my opinion, the best WR in NFL history. When you're the highest scorer on both highest scoring teams in NFL history, enough said. He wasn't the fastest, that would be Bobby Hayes of the Dallas Cowboys but just like Hayes he made any defensive coordinator change everything on their defense to keep him accounted for or a price would have to be paid.

Great video! You can see how Chuck influenced a lot of great backs who came after him. Even Barry Sanders would envy some of those moves. Amazing how fast he was to the line of scrimmage. If ever there was a stat that tracked a ball carrier's yards gained after their first 3 steps, Chuck would probably own that record. More often than not, it seemed Adrian Peterson's first 3 steps usually had him still in the backfield.
