Hi there! The Water Absorbent Mat Pad can be wrung out and re-used during a single water spill clean-up. Once the spill is cleaned, you will dispose of the used pads. Please note they cannot be dried and reused for multiple spills.

Hi there, this mat is heat set so there should be very little lint. However, as it continues to age and be used and cleaned, there may be some areas that will give off some small amounts of lint. If this is an issue, it’s easy to remove Grippy Mat and replace with new material! Typically, Grippy Floor Mat can last for 3-6 months, but if an area shows wear, it should be replaced sooner. Grippy Floor Mat can be swept, vacuumed, mopped, wet/dry vacuumed or cleaned with a floor scrubber and carpet extractor to remove dirt, dust and stains. If kept clean, it will shed very little lint. Hi Goosby, The PIG105 PIG® Mildew-Resistant Water Absorbent Sock is a great sock for absorbing water in basements. Each sock will absorb up to 1 gallon of water. These can be air dried a few times as well. Hope that helps!

Hi Kenny! Thanks for your question. Installation is the key to this product working and lasting long. The silithane sealant is what stops the liquid from migrating under the berm. The berm itself is just there to give height and more containment. So YES, the floor must be clean, dry, free of residues including cleaners. Rinse the floor after cleaning with fresh water, dry with blowers or fans should you need to install quickly. You only have to clean the portion where the Berm will be located if you don’t want to do the entire floor. Placing a board on the berm after its glued down to insure even pressure will ensure a good seal. Please note that if the floor is not sealed inside the berm, the liquid spilled can absorb into the flooring if its porous. Let us know if you have additional questions.

I was not there when the BB was installed. I noticed a white glue underneath though. But I'm not sure they cleaned the floor thoroughly. I think it is hard to install to an already messy oily floor. I can have my cleaning crew clean it with heated pressure washer then wait for it to dry... I was stepping on it yesterday and at the connection part the coolant squirted out. I saw a heavy rubber option. Do you have those?

@@KennyLauderdale I spoke with a member of our technical services team about this, and she sent me these directions. I'm not sure if you're able to do all of this, but this would help you to ensure that your BAB is functioning properly: "The floor was not cleaned well if they have coolant squishing out or the berm was not making good contact with the floor when sealed. The white stuff they are seeing is most likely the silithane sealant (PTY340-1) Again, installation is key to a long lasting build a berm. They will need to use a scraper or flat blade shovel to get under the berm in the areas that are not sticking to clean the flooring in that area or they’ll have to redo the entire berm if its leaking all around. The PTY340-1 that is on both the berm and the floor will need to be removed - sanding will remove it. Clean the floor again with a cleaner/degreaser, thoroughly rinse the floor with clean water and dry it. Use the PTY340-1 in two continuous beads to insure you have no gaps in the lines of sealant. Seal to the floor and place a board or other heavy object on the top of the berm to insure it is making good floor contact. Allow it to fully cure for 24 hours. Then take water and pour it along the interior edges to see if you have any leaks. If you do, dry thoroughly with a fan or blower and then try to add my PTY340-1 - silithane sealant under the edges where its leaking until you no longer have any leaks. If you ONLY absorb water with them, you can lay them out to air dry. However, if you absorb anything else, they must be disposed of according to regulations.

@@NewPigUS Have you ever thought about venturing into pool products? Imagine a floating device you could place in front of the skimmer hole. Water flow would keep it there while the pump was running. I know because inflatables, water guns, fun noodles etc. gets caught there. Shape it with a pyramid or dome shape side so that it stays put when the pump is in use. Inside the cage would be an oil only filter element. Filter refills could be cheaper than the floating device. It would be a use as needed device to remove suntan oils from the water.

Hi Dickey! Thanks for the question. The quick answer is YES! Two things to remember - the smoother, the better, and make sure to remove all grease, oil, dust, and dirt before applying the Grippy mat to your dry surface.

​@Julia M you would need to put something as a barrier between the floor and thw mat. Plus you'll still need to wring them out after use
