    • @somewhatfast
      @somewhatfast Před 4 dny

      @at-the-509 start chasing the wire back and testing it. Could be corrosion at the bulk head connector at firewall. Could be bad ignition switch. If its the ignition switch and you don't want to replace it you can use a push button starter on dash to engage the relay. Good luck

    “Hi, I bought jegs conversion kit and installed it. However, I’ve encountered a strange problem. The brake works well overall, but sometimes when I push the pedal, I lose the brake, and it becomes stiff.{as like the engin is off and i have to push with two legs} but When I push it again, it returns to normal. Can you assist me why?

    • @somewhatfast
      @somewhatfast Před 24 dny

      @sirenswhispering You are loosing your power brakes. Either you have a vacuum leak from the hose, fitting, or internally in the booster. Wiggle the hose around and check for leaks. Also have someone keep pushing the brakes while you listen for a random air leak to form as soon as it happens. Or the booster could just be bad. Is your car cammed? Make sure you have sufficient vacuum to run power brakes and that your vacuum line is connected to the proper port on the carburetor/intake. Good luck

    • @sirenswhispering
      @sirenswhispering Před 24 dny

      @@somewhatfast i appreciate you. Probably as you mentioned the internal booster is bad, although i bought a new jegs brake booster and master cylinder. No there is no commad, i renew all the hoses, drums, and pads with lines, and there is no any leaking, my engine is 4.3 stock with holley sniper 1. I wonder why it happened sometimes, for example i drove about 45 min without any problem, when i wanted to park my car, suddenly i lose a brke and become stiff and immediately i push it again came back to normal. I dont think the iternal air in the line it could be reason. The only possible is my new own booster.

    Got a radiator off e bay. Fits square body Chevy. All the measurements were right until it came. It wasn't anywhere near the right size. I have a four inch body life so I was able to get it in there without to much chopping. It's been in about 4 months with plenty of anti freeze. It started leaking and good luck trying some Alum seal. I'll give the pepper a try.

    I had exact same engine and transmission and I could never unlock it and had to bang the Pistons out with a hammer and damage them and the only place I can get the replacement Pistons was from Hot heads and they wanted 1700 bucks so I sold that junky engine. They're cool looking but they have no actual performance and you can read that from the direct connection manual itself.

    I have been called jumber than a box of hammer heads. Long time ford lover and owned quite a few of those cars you only dream of owning. I am near seventy five and your explanation is just too easy for anyone to not get right. This information shared here put me on a whole different thought process. Other car companies copied the same idea but your right, a hemi was the engine we did love and because of prices, availability, and difficulty to install one of those plus using their transmission was usually a fail for the guys/me to install and make live. I did start pulling wrenches for my dad before I was old enough to argue. The motor pool was another shot at mechanicing. One thing for sure was if you were a good mechanic, your family never went hungry. Like all good mechanics, we traded our bed for a lantern as this old saying went. There just wasn't enough hours in a day to finish all the work. My wife grew tired of living alone... said she was leaving for someone who would take her dancing and show her some fun. I was a wet blanket and she knew even if I promised to work less and be at home nights... you can figure out the rest. She was the love of my life and so I never remarried as I too knew I was addicted to working on anything that made smoke, as in diesel and gas.... or combinations of same said. Many diesels started on gas and then they flip a lever and it ran on diesel. International did this in the dozers and other equipment. They are not the only companies that tried this. Long before a glow plug or other devices to help start a diesel engine. Surely I have bored you to tears reading a old mans rant. All said and done, your video put a new perspective on the hemi engine. I say engine since its drummed into my head as proper but all motor companies including Harley called engines motors. Yes I do know the difference of what is what. Hopefully you got something from a long winded old man. One other channel you might enjoy is INNvision prototypes. Nick and his dad know more about metal and how to shape it into something anyone would love to own and currently working on a 56 dodge TWO door hardtop. I will let you listen to Nick as he explains the significance of this car he is totally redoing from original plus new metal. Please check this channel and see what your missing. If you already know of his channel then I just wasted time on the print here

    These old engines were used in power boats years ago, they used to have an inlet manifold that had 6 x 190cfm single throat stromberg downdraft carburettors. These will rev like crazy because they don't valve bounce. My father had a 1956 Plymouth belvedere with that engine and a 2 speed torque flight auto. It sat for 30 years until we got it going and after got it going it ran like a top.
