    Asalamu Alaikum Brother, I have a question. If I go to Jeddah first but then go directly to madinah from there for few days. I do have intention of doing Umrah, but it's not immediate, it would be when I go to Makkah from madinah after few days. So in this case am I allowed to wear ihram ( go into state of ihram ) at miqat Dhul Hulaifah whilst going to Makkah from madinah? Or do I have to wear it before landing in Jeddah Airport?

    • @LifeMoves
      @LifeMoves Před 21 dnem

      Walaikum Salam, If you arrive in Jeddah with the intention of leaving the miqat boundary, go to Madinah and come back to Makkah later, then you don’t have to wear your Ihram when you land. You can wear it from Dhul Hulayfah when you come from Madinah to Makkah. Allah knows best,

    • @LifeMoves
      @LifeMoves Před 17 dny

      You can make your intention at or before Dhul Hulayfah. It doesn’t have to be exactly at Dhul Hulayfah, you can wear your Ihram and make your intention before Dhul Hulayfah (but not after Dhul Hulayfah). So, yes, the hotel should be ok. However, it is Sunnah to stop at Dhul Hulayfah and pray 2 rakat. If you do not or cannot stop, that’s ok. Allah knows best.

      Walaikum Salam. If I arrive in Jeddah with the intention to go to Madinah first and then come back to Makkah a few days later, I don’t enter Ihram before landing. In that case, I start my Ihram from Dhul Hulayfah on my way from Madinah to Makkah. Allah knows best.

    i land at jeddah at 2.45pm and then my return flight is at 12am , is this enough time to do umrah and if some1 can send me a cab drivers number or what is current price to pay from airport to makkah and makkah back to airport?

    • @LifeMoves
      @LifeMoves Před 17 dny

      Depending on which terminal you’re arriving at and whether you’re collecting your luggage, you might be out of the airport by 4pm. Also consider potential delayed arrivals etc. Then again, depending on whether or not you take bathroom break, time to eat etc, you might reach Masjid Al Haram by 6pm. You can quickly do Umrah in 2 hours. If you leave by 8pm, depending on the day of the week, you might reach Jeddah airport by 10pm, just 2 hours before your flight departure at midnight. So, it’s possible but tight. In my view, a decent layover in Jeddah to do Umrah is about 12 hours. This allows one to do Umrah at a reasonable pace without the worry of missing the flight.

    Dear Concerned, I am a Canadian citizen, willing to perform the Umrah in the last week of June. My wife and 2 kids will accompany me for the Umrah. We have already obtained our tourist e-visas online and at the moment we are planning our trip. I got to know that we need to get the Umrah permit on the NUSUK app to perform Umrah. I have downloaded the NUSUK app and registered my account. However, when I accessed the app I found that there is no available dates for June or July. Due to my personal circumstances, the only available time for me to visit KSA is the end of June (after the Hajj season ends). Please let me know how I can get an Umrah permit for the last week of June? Some people also told me that I don't need a permit with a tourist e-visa. Is that correct? @ Shenaz bint Ali, I do give to the workers / cleaners. At the other end of the spectrum, there are the con artists who come up and tell you the story about how they lost everything and don’t have the money to return home. I have heard this too many times to believe it. I do not give them anything. Then there’s everyone in between which includes the regular beggars. That’s where you have to use your judgement I guess. Anyway, that’s just my opinion. If you give someone with sincere intentions, you will be rewarded In Sha Allah.

    Do they announce whether the deceased is a male or female

    • @LifeMoves
      @LifeMoves Před 29 dny

      They would often announce “الصلاة على الأموات” which in its plural form (أموات) can include male and female both. So, if there were multiple deceased men and women they would say أموات and if there were only men, they would still use the same word أموات. So, just from that you cannot tell whether it includes women. If it was only one woman, I guess technically it should be ميتة but I cannot recall if I have heard that.

      @@LifeMoves so what happens if you just bag the items and put it thought luggage, because Dhaka airport is notorious for item being stolen or missing, do the Saudis scan each luggage bag, I just don't get it why the zam zam water needs to be sent separately and not in your luggage any reason behind this or do you know if they scan each bags which is going to the aeroplane cargo?

    • @LifeMoves
      @LifeMoves Před měsícem

      Tbh I cannot say for sure. You can ask them at the check in counter when you hand in your checked baggage at Madinah airport. I suspect they will ask you to hand in the ZamZam separately at another counter.

      @@LifeMoves thanks I am actually flying out from Jeddah, insha'Allah, so you buy the zam zam water from the first counter but then you said on the second counter you need to show your receipt, can you explain this bit please, I assume the first counter you get your water and you can put in side your luggage and go to the check on counter and hand your luggage over and that's all done isn't?

    • @LifeMoves
      @LifeMoves Před měsícem

      The setup of the ZamZam kiosks/counters at different airports and terminals can be slightly different. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Buying ZamZam is a simple process. Then you head to the airlines’ check in counter. This is where you can ask if it is okay to put the water in your luggage. If you put it in without asking, there’s a risk that it may be removed and thrown out later. I have heard reports of this happening but have not verified this independently.

      The 5L ZamZam usually goes as a separate item and not included in your baggage allowance. However, please check with your airline to be sure.

      If you are referring to the Elaf Al Taqwa hotel n Bani Khidrah, Madinah 42311 then it appears to be closer to the Qibla side. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t book it. Just keep the few minutes’ extra walk in mind.

      Yes, there are eateries open in the morning. They’re not so much like breakfast cafes but rather regular restaurants and fast food joints that are open in the mornings. For example, if you were looking for cheaper options in Makkah, you could go to Al Safwa Tower nearby. You would find the regular food places open after Fajr.

      If you are flying from Riyadh to Jeddah, then you will cross the Miqat shortly before landing in Jeddah. You might find it convenient to wear your Ihram from Riyadh (just because wearing it on the plane is difficult) but then you make your niyyah (intention) few minutes before landing in Jeddah. Allah knows best.
