    Open pipes best sounding. No idea why anyone wants a quiet Harley, it's insane. Get an electric bike if you want a quiet ride and make sure your skirt doesn't ruffle up either while you're at it.

    • @texasharleyrider7424

      Well, there are a few reasons such as reducing the higher pitches which is mostly what these do, some use them for some added back pressure which will give a bit of torque back when they do not want to run a 2 to 1 pipe. Some people prefer performance over loud exhaust, which while it isn’t a lot, no baffles will reduce low end but can also increase high end. I’m a firm believer that it’s not what you buy, but what you build. It’s all subjective, do what you want. As long as someone is on 2 wheels and living life, I’m not going to shame them for liking something I do not. Ride safe and thanks for the comment 🤙

    Should roll the wheel so that the puncture is at the bottom. The Ride-On will pool where the hole in and might work faster. Then if it's stopped the leak, ride a bit. Though as others say, the tube might be more damaged than the tire.

      Actually had a flat earlier this week during a ride. Nothing happened other than being stranded for a bit. This was on a a tubeless. I removed it and took to the dealership with my new tire and it had changed. I looked in the tire once removed, and it had changed to a brownish color and the consistency was very thin. I assume mixed with condensation.

Well, I did that and will never make that mistake again. Went to remove them after a week or so, and the bond created on the pipe and fiberglass made them a major pain to remove. • @texasharleyrider7424
      @texasharleyrider7424 Před rokem

      Once it's in the tire or tube, you take a ride. The centrifugal force spreads it around and it actually stays put. When you get a nail or whatever it seals the hole. It stays soft, and as the tire wears it will keep adjusting to stay balanced. Pretty good product, just doesn't seal well on a tube. balancing properties are excellent though.

      Took out the higher pitches of the stock baffles which I liked, just wound up being too restrictive for my tastes.

      Unfortunately I had to sell my bike, Daughter needed a car. As for the mustang, I loved it! My next bike will get the mustang as well.

    I had the quiet baffs in when i took bike to get tuned t elimante decel popping. when the tuner tried to probe the exhaust the quiet baffles were completely broken in peices. So he used some universal shorty baffles. pretty much open headers. he tuned it with those. decel pop gone and more power but the pipes are too damn loud and crashy. might put the stock ones back in to quiet it down a tidge

      So the caps were broke or the baffle itself? That’s crazy, how long had they been in?

      @@texasharleyrider7424 quiet baffles were broken in peices. 4k miles, like they just deteriorated. I put the orginal VH baffles in today. it wasnt as easy as I thought. I had a real hard time with the covers and the clamps and I could not get the allen screw to thread into the baffle so i had to drill out the baffle thread hole and run the screw thru it and put a nut on the inside of it. took way longer than I anticipated. supriced I didnt scratch the hell out of stuff

      @@el-hp1lj Yeah, it’s a pain to swap them out due to the heat shields. That’s the exact reason I did the video this way lol.

    Will the tuner make any difference if I’m running all stock other than some slip-ons??

    • @texasharleyrider7424

      I would think so, how much would be debatable. I’m sure the slip ons are less restrictive than the stock exhaust so changing the tune would likely get some noticeable results. If your on the fence, give fuelmoto a call and they would be able to tell you what to expect. If you purchase from them, they will send it with a tune loaded to your bike specs.

    Awesome video. That's how it looks when I tell my wife I'm going to get a couple gallons of gas. Like your camera. What are you using? Gonna try and score a go pro this summer.
