    Nice score on the tools you bought. I have a 1/2” electric drill looks very similar to yours. Mine is a Skill brand it’s very powerful. Mine will break fingers if you’re not careful. I always use the loop handle that came with it, so I always use it both hands on while operating.

    I’m replacing this same power cord for a friend but felt I should update it with a grounded cord since the mixer is all metal. This mixer would not be sold today without that ground. Trouble is, now the mixer trips a GFCI outlet so this may not be an option.

      @floridarusticrepairs Před 3 dny

      Thanks! That's interesting info. I often debate whether I should be adding a grounded cord when I do these sort of restorations but I think these mixers have a relatively isolated body so risk of shock is low. I wonder if by adding the ground you're sending a bit of leakage into the GFI?

Maybe if I had the permits before I signed the contract (3 weeks saved) and had the concrete lined up before the contract with the builder (4 weeks saved) it may have been possible. The cost of assembly is included. The only thing I caught when quoting builders is that some would say that you needed to provide a crane on site. Anytime i argued that point they immediately backed off and included it. Since my building height is only 15' at peak, a crane wasn't necessary anyway which makes me wonder why they tried to add that cost.

    There is a port for the vent tube on both sides of the battery. The port that doesn't have the vent tube attached should be plugged. You don't want the battery fumes to vent into the trunk.

      Yes, thank you! Fortunately someone had told me this earlier. No idea why it wasn't hooked up to the other battery either.

    I believe they call the bit in the box a Forester bit. It's a wood drill bit.

    I showed up at a tool free pile that had a couple of small boxes and a tote of goodies. The owner said "There is another trailer full of stuff" I wound up with my truck so overloaded it was almost dragging the bumper on the ground. The guys father was a police dept mechanic and had triples of everything. After I cleaned the tools I sold them for $300. The kids kept all the Snap On stuff. I arrived at another free pile and the guy said "We are moving. We have a barn full of free stuff" This time I had my trailer. I got a lawn tractor, a grinder and a whole bunch of gardening supplies that my wife was most grateful to have. As usual I was maxed out on gross tonnage. These were two instances of the ad did not reflect what was really there.

      That's wild! Sounds like whomever bought them from you for $300 also got a good deal but nothing beats a truck full of free tools!

      Yes, I was. I couldn't pass this deal up but there was just so much there. I still have some of it in bins and I keep telling myself that I'll get it donated out eventually. :)

      Mine is also a 1500. I think it was lifted 2" before I got it. Either that or the Z71 Avalanche was unusually high. Great trucks. Is yours also red?
