    • @kodeebarber
      @kodeebarber Před rokem

      Thank you sir. Flat rakers won't really make it grabby but it does make it a little rough cutting. Angle them smoothes it out a lot. The only thing that can make it too grabby is having the rakers too low and/or making the tooth angles to aggressive

      @kcf955 Před rokem

    My local Stihl dealer refuses to even get the 500I because it’s fuel injected and he doesn’t want to learn how to handle what problems “might” pop up on one. He seems to be a very likable guy, except for that. I’m of the opinion that the only way to learn is to get a little bit out of your own comfort zone. I guess that he’s just going to miss out on that sale. It’s just going to have to be the 462 for the immediate future. Does the “BarkBox” orientation not through heat or chips up into your face?

      Stihl quality has gone down. I liked running Stihl cause it holds an edge better. But over the last couple years the quality has been awful. It stretches so bad you have to tighten it after every tree. And it will have random hard spots in the chain to the point where I can barely grind through it. Oregon chain is smoother and faster cutting and has been cheaper generally then stihl
