Love ur videos but all of these decisions would just ruin Nintendo financially. U want them to split the portable and home console division again???? There’s a reason why the Wii U had so many game droughts and that was bc their development teams had to be divided into a portable and home console division. Also bringing back the tablet is beyond stupid. Love the Wii U but that thing overpriced it and held it back. It just makes sense to stick what they’re doing, especially when portable gaming handhelds are a lot more capable compared to 2017

Ngl, in terms of sales, if they do more of the same but around the same power as a PS4, it'll sell great. Oh and also backward compatibility will help it too.

"Switch exclusives are barely memorable and launch incomplete" Xenoblade 2 and 3, FE:3H, FE:E, Metroid Dread, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Mario Maker 2, New Pokemon Snap, Paper Mario and the Origami King, Mario Wonder, Ring Fit Adventure, Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4, Mario and Rabbids (Both games) and that's really only covering the games that id say didn't feel like they had a pretty significant amount of content behind post launch shit. If we DID include that, we'd have Kirby Star Allies, Mario Tennis Aces, Arms, and Animal Crossing New Horizons included. Like yeah the other Mario sports games are pretty damn bad and Nintendo Switch Sports is an evil and fucked up version of Wii Sports, but clearly the Switch has more than Mario Odyssey, BOTW and TOTK, and old games. Shit like DKC Tropical Freeze and New Soup U, aka ports of previous games with a few small doodads added here or there, not remasters, comprise 14 of the 174 games. If we did include remasters in that count that would be 24. Expand your horizons lmao

The thing is, everybody picked up magazines with guides back then. The shitty Star in Wamps fortress was mentioned in every review. And it did age well compared to its contemporaries. I don't see anybody playing Gecko the Dragon or whatever it was called.

I grew to enjoy and appreciate Mario 64 after a bit but its not perfect. There's fan remakes that fix the issues though that make it a bette experience

i love this game despite not growing up with it but the camera is definitely pretty awful. while this is almost made up for the fantastic open structure which allows you to get the majority of stars any order, the camera ruins half of the stars and saying mods will fix it is a pathetic excuse. 9/10 but not the best game of all time, that is too far fetched to be true. great video.

mk7 feels like a late beta version of mk8 to me

After playing MK7 to completion and getting 4K VR in it, I tried MK8 and, control/kart wise, was instantly unimpressed. You see, I’m a Toad guy, who is Jack shit in MK8, because I swear acceleration is useless in this game. I don’t know what’s wrong or if I just need better kart parts but in comparison to early MK7 that games feels SO much better so looking back I definitely see why people would prefer MK7 because I totally agree that while it is considered the “MK8 Beta”, it has its own feel and play style. Also made me love karts again after only ever using bikes

3:38 don't quote me on this, but according to some random interview I've either read, or heard from someone else, mario64 was orignally going to be a point A -> point B type game with flagpoles and what have you. This was eventually cut because fitting around maybe 70 unique levels all with unique theming, enemies, sounds, and textures, would not be possible on the n64, mostly considering the memory limitations. (I think n64 games originally were like 8 - 16 MB per game max, which is not alot for a 3D game, and games that used like 32 - 64 were pretty rare and came several years after mario64.) All things considered, Mario 64 having like 15 or so sandboxes costed significantly less in the storage department, and in general it padded out the runtime of the game due to the map's having several different objectives per map instead of just racing to the flagpole. Mario 64 is an ugly, slippery mess, and It's a good first attempt. That is all I will say is revolutionary about it. it laid the groundwork for some of my all time favorite games, (mario galaxy 2) but it really sucks playing today if you ask me. the CO-OP rom hack by Kaze is really fun tho, but i mean, playing fucking chess is fun if you play with the right person. I do like the n64 in general, alot of really fun games, but mario 64 is.. mid If you ask me.
