Road to Infinity Tumbling on my new Blackout+ 17
this is me, flying the first day of the season april 23' with my brand new glider size 17, shes brand new and super tight so im trying to break it in and stretch her out a bit :)
its not a joke the glider will become more aligned and less aggressive as i use it, the front lines get looses every flight and that makes it easier to use on a few ways and slower to connect in a few ways also!
the more you know right :)
this is my second flight but the first one was a bit of the same, third run was rhythmic and ill post that video next
in this run im on the road to aligned infinity tumbling and you can see im swerving all over the place and often turning the wrong way before turning the correct way :)
sometimes i mix my left and rights so thats where im at in the progression and also learning to lean my body withOUT the motor strapped on my back is a pleasure
im happy with my results and im still DRY so thats all that counts :)

oh yeah im going to add this is in Oludeniz Turkey and its super easy to fly here you just jump on the Babadag Teleferik which is a cable cab and you get a ride to the top of the mountain and fly down over the blue lagoon and get to train or do whatever you want!

Im very respectful of acro and high energy manuevers. I really need to do an SIV and break that mental barrier. As a fixed-wing CFI it's my job to know the absolute limits of the aircraft and I hate not knowing that on my paraglider

Great video!! I’m getting a PAP Tinox dual start and just cancelled an order for a Scout EFI. I’ve only flown a Scout and was shocked how comfortable a friends Tinox was. I really wish PAP came with the EFI option though. I’m grateful to my friend and for your video and a few other reviews I’ve seen, I definitely made the right choice deciding on the PAP!! Your comment at 13:09 about the “big American pilot” made me laugh. I’m in healthcare, there are WAY too many fat Americans!!!! 😂 Great video!

Hi Matt. Thanks for the nice video. Question : how’s that bolero 6 performing with the paramotor. Do you use it as your main wing ? I’ve got a large size bolero 6, using it for paragliding only, but I want to get a para motor and was wondering if I can use it for a bit - till I get a proper patamotor wing. I would love to hear your testimony on the wing suitability.
Not good anymore unless you like old stuff that goes super slow only + oscillating... Get a ITV Baja Motor if you want to have a good time in free flight + Motor flight, thank me later when you smile all the time!

Nice video, nice demo, Matt. So i think as a beginner it is much easier to start with a small trike. I fly a xt one easy by simplify an love it.

Can you help me out with what size line clips those are on your frame?
Yeah they are the factory line guides that you can see on macfly website if you shop for trikes and if I had to measure they are about the size of your fist or hand grabbing onto the cage rim. Hope that helps, we can send pics with a tape measure if you need exactly but in any case a 4-6 inches line guide works wonders and is plenty enough
@@minyardmatt The PAP website lists two different sizes and I'm not sure which to get. What are the different sizes in reference to? The length or what? Thanks.
@@razorsharpbt124 ahhh ok yeah I understand the question now, it's 14 or 16mm and if it's a tinox titanium cage we have those clips and we have smaller for the stainless steel cage, yeah use a caliper and measure your cage diameter for that information or ask your dealer

Such a talented pilot, I'm a professional paramotor pilot but Matt is on another level.
When u began to twist up what should u do?
Well in a general case if you have altitude while twisted, you can check if your wing is flying straight + level basically under control or not... If it's under control you can untwist yourself and go on with your flight... If you are a bit out of control you should toss the reserve parachute out immediately or use a cutaway base system if you have that option and want a new glider to appear overhead. Otherwise you need to fix the twists and enjoy the flight. I was trying a certain technical thing to stall my wing and have it take the sat direction to helicopter before just allowing it to have traction in forward flight and slipped up ... I think if I had more altitude I would have tried to untwist but I just tossed my reserve as I was super low and going in the water at this point already! Totally enjoyed it because of my position over water and soft terrain, with the safety boats available and already in the water I was a bit more comfortable to toss a reserve in the middle of the ocean! Overall good times id do it again :)
