I love John Mellencamp and his views. Everyone has an opinion, he has always cared about the welfare of the people in his songwriting. So why go to his concert, if you do not like his songs, lyrics, and ideas? His opinion's are in his music.

I could see TS acquiescing to some backing vocal tracks maybe. Dee would never autotune his voice though. He’s got too much (old school) integrity. Good video, thanks!

Pedestrian, predictable, formulaic. I can't avoid comparisons as a vast chasm separates this from Floyd's work. Clearly missing the unnerving edge and pulsating bass of Waters, the hypnotic atmospherics of Wright combined with Mason's percussive mood, and the whole experience of anticipating the change you knew was coming but reliving it never failed to deliver the same awe and wonder. As a technical musician Gilmour is a master but his compositions don't leave a mark on my soul.

The Kiss of ‘74-‘78 was probably the most entertaining live band. Musically, no, but arguably the most entertaining. After that, no. They ceased to be Kiss when everything started to unravel in the early 80s.

I´m a HUGE DP-fan and my thaughts on this track are similar to yours. I think it sounds VERY much as some of the songs from Woosh. I love Woosh but it almost feels like they are steelin´from themselves. Rythm section is, as always, really great!! I like Simon´s solo a lot. There are not a trillion of notes but a smart melody like piece. Stepping in after Steve Moorse is unbelievably hard but he has managed well. I also think he does a great job live. So looking forward to the full album 💜

Nope! They were the best lip syncing band.

In general, I haven't been fully satisfied with Gilmour's music since the Division Bell. I suppose I'm a diehard fan of his Floyd days and his first two solo albums. It doesn't mean this and other music he's made since then aren't good, just that it doesn't reach the level of excellence since then, in my opinion. It's definitely polished and well arranged. As far as this song is concerned, I'd give it a 7 out of 10, and I'm looking forward to the new solo album.

Queen buries them as far as live. Sight and sound. Kiss sucks live. Musically anyhow.

I've seen them 3 times. First, December 20th, 1975. It was Peter Criss' birthday and Paul led us all in singing happy birthday to Peter. They were everything as I expected, they were so raw back then for the most part. Overall, with Rush opening the show, it was a very memorable show. Second time seeing them was the Destroyer tour in September of '76. I love that album and when I saw that show, honestly, it was larger than life. The sound, lights, the incredible stage, the concert book, blood, fire, explosions...but for me, more than anything, it was Ace. His sound was awesome as were his leads and the exploding guitar. Ace made Kiss for me. Third time I saw them was the Dynasty tour. I shall not speak of that. Greatest live band ever? Not too sure about that. I certainly don't want to feed Gene's ego and say they were, but they were damn good.

Brian johnson is actually helping to develop a revolutionary hearing aid and treatment which can reverse hearing loss. He was deafened by the damage his ears had absorbed over the years and it was so bad it prevented him from being able to hear music properly. The innovative technology has restored Brians' hearing to s8ch an extent that he is able to tour again! That is an absolutely incredible achievement, and I wish them a long and prosperous future. What a gift it is to be able to restore someone's hearing. These fellas are far more than just musicians. Brian has always been a huge advocate of Northern Englishmen, and Northern culture, heritage and identity. He always stood up for the working class northerners and being one myself, I have always had a deep affection for Brian johnson. He's one of us who made it, and he's never forgotten where he comes from. God bless him. A true gentleman.

I seriously doubt they will. I think it was just a tounge in cheek joke. They are way too big time for that sort of venue anymore. Way too many wackos out there. Has anyone ever seen the crowds they draw? I just dont see it as being feasable anymore. But i bet they would love to go back to just playing gigs.

Now, it’s not the same as lip syncing, but I use to point out to people that when DH was not behind the kit he held a guitar when he sang one of his song, he would mime cords that were not in tempo to the beat. If anybody touched the strings the way he did, the performance would have been terrible. Yeah, maybe that six string wasn’t plug for sound, but still. If you don’t know how to play it, don’t pretend you can. It just raises too many questions.

I refuse to pay $300-$700 for a ticket to the artists that tour these days.. like The Eagles, George Strait, Rolling Stones, etc. But if AC/DC is gonna give us another show… I will pay for that. I’ve seen them numerous times since the early 80s and they’re worth it. True Icons.

I think you're being a little harsh. I love both RB and DP and saw both DP and Rainbow in London in 2017. IMO the DP gig was much the better show! Saw DP again in 2022 and SMcB was great. I think RB has burnt his bridges with DP and they sensibly and finally went their separate ways a long time ago. Both have done plenty of good stuff since. Cheers from the UK!

I like Kiss but I think there others bands that was better in live like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and Pink Floyd

Rush had a very good producer in Terry Brown during their classic hard-rock period in the 1970s. Once the 80s arrived, Rush were keen to experiment with different musical approaches, which probably wouldn't have suited Page's involvement by that stage.

I see alot of these 3rd rate musicians acting like they have Elvis levels of fame. They don't. I'd sit through a 1954 Elvis concert before ever giving a crap about John Mellencamp. And I was born in 1985 just for frame of reference here.

As far as longevity, yes, most pop acts have a short shelf life of maybe a decade with a comeback or two at a later time. We do have to point out Madonna has been the exception to this rule, as she was and a top pop hitmaker and performer from the 80s, 90s, 2000s, and 2010s. She has done a better job than any other pop icon to stay relevant.
