So great! Thx
Hi I'm from Australia and just watched to know where I can I get the glass extension table, I have a brother sewing machine. Hope you can help Thank you
You should be able to purchase it from pretty much any sewing machine dealership. If you give them the name and model number of your machine, they send away for a custom-cut plexiglass extension table that will fit your machine. In the US, they are usually cut by DreamWorldUSA (that's where the dealers purchase them from) but I suspect there are many such places in Australia.
Do you rinse the soap out??
No need to do so.
I am just getting to end of making my first (72” x 60”) quilt. I have struggled and struggled with controlling the drag from the weight of this heavy quilt sandwich (cotton top, moderate loft poly batting, Cuddle minkee backing). I have thought, why doesn’t someone create a stand that holds the weight of the quilt. But it is to my left. Not in front of me. I have put my ironing board to my left and that hold some of the weight, but my quilting works best when I hold up the fabrics to the right and left of the walking foot and just guide it. Do you think this suspension device would work in a position other than the front of your machine? Hope to hear back from you! This is excellent!
Very INSPIRATIONAL ❤ THANK YOU ❣️
Beautiful
Ok I’m THE BERNINA SNOB. Frankly I can’t sew a straight line ever in fifty years of sewing. Then I read some where about this ruler and as usual I thought I’d try it. I have t done a project but I stopped working on my quilt just to see if I liked it. Just a couple of lines and I’m exceedingly happy. 😮my last project with straight line work is so crooked I tell people this is what I intended😂
Great video, explained very well. Thank you. Work of are ! 👏🏼👏🏼
WOW the colours are amazing.
Eyeopening. Ive done a lot of quilting but i thought trapunto involved stuffing cotton into pockets to make raised areas. Wow.
Thank you.
Love the zhouzhing
Just came across your videos and practice pages. Thanks a lot I am a beginner and the pages will help with my practice. Thanks again!
Thanks so much. Great video!!
Do you use 72 yet on the berina 830
These videos are fantastic! I just had my first go with free motion quilting today and I already love it! Will keep practicing and watch all your videos on the topic.
Oh my, these are just wonderful!
I baste my quilts on my design board. It is a game changer--but for those with mobility issues, may not be suitable. This method makes it so much easier to visualize the placement of everything. I also use a level to ensure that my quilt top (using seams as guides) is square.
Thank you so much.Awesome presentation!!!
An excellent method of DYING FAR ICS. I'M FOND OF TRYING IT OUT. THANKYOU!!!.
An excellent method of DYING FAR ICS. I'M FOND OF TRYING IT OUT. THANKYOU!!!.
definitely something I need. I am so tired of fighting with quilts and never seeming to find the sweet to avoid drag.
I just bought a used 830 and was absolutely lost. Yours was one of the only videos that made sense. I wish you had more about the 830 and if you do please replay. Thank you so much for such a thorough explanation about using rulers and free motion quilting.
Love your presentations…. You’re amazing 🤩
Such good advice. Thank you!
What do you make a basting wall out of?
The wall is a design board.
I love this video! Have never tried this technique but eager to do it! However I went to both of the sites mentioned and the shipping charges for a dye order were outrageous. Does anyone know of a different site that is not so expensive? Thanks😊
Your sewing is very good. Do you use sewing machines?
I love this technique, but I have to do this indoors. Will the colors be just as vibrant? Also, will I need to add heat since the sun will not get to area I will be working?
If you don't have a wall available can you spray baste on a table?
Thank you thank you. I started to panic when my new Janome foot like this one was wrong when the part number was right and it wasn't lining up. When you mentioned to move the needle position, presto ! It worked and I am in business. Thanks again for your thorough tutorials. Blessings.
I think I will stick to small quits since I don't have a large wall, an electric dryer nor a husband😂
I love your videos! The brightly colored fabric!
This is the best tutorial I've seen to date thank you so much 😃
Or do you spell it q w o u l t qwoult?
What is a qualt
Thank you so much😇 Do u use any fixer ?
This method is a game changer I used it for the first time this weekend and I use my garment steamer to help get my batting relaxed and get my backing and the front of my quilt to be straight and wrinkle free. I use June tailor basting spray it does require 100% cotton batting which is what I had otherwise it may not wash out and would have to be dry cleaned. I launder all of my quilts after I finish quilting them how wonderful it is to be able to keep the quilt straight have it hang straight and see everything all in one spot and not have any nasty surprises. Consider two pronged jewelers pins. They secure better.
Thank you so much for your dyeing tips and tricks! It was a wonderful video. ❤️ I brought some Procion dye recently to dye some linen tea towels. I didn’t like the boring colours on offer at the store.
This is most beautiful motif I have ever watched .If you ever have a lesson please let me know
I have learned more from you in these short few minutes than I have in the past 6 months .I hope some day you will have an in person class .Our group of quilting ladies would love to take in person classes . I thank you for all you are sharing with us want to be quilters
So much needed information.Thank you .
Thanks so much. learned a lot.
Beautiful piece
Incredible ❣ Thank you very much💗🙏👍
I went to your web site but couldn’t find the frame or the cost. How much is your system?
The ruler I received is sloppy on the closed end. The ruler foot fits well on the open end, but as you go down the ruler, it develops a gap between the foot and the ruler, on the closed end. Is anyone else having that problem?
Which ruler foot will fit my Janome Continental M7 Professional?
I just received the Line Tamer ruler and have a question. Has anyone who purchased it noticed that the ruler foot fits well at the open end, but as you move down it, it develops a gap and wobbles within the ruler middle? I was so excited to receive it, but am concerned about how well it will work now.
Really enjoyed your video. I was searching how to emboss and cut with 3D Sizzix plates and the Sizzix Texture Fabric roll material. And this came up and I was pulled in to view. Oh my gosh the metal fused to fabric is so cool. Not to mention the embossing of your fabric with the pellon interface. It is not exactly what I was searching for but close enough and opens my mind to a whole new world of play. I'm a fabric person first and paper second. I've been playing with making note books mini ones and want to use faux leathers and the Texture or similar materials and have ruined three brand new 3-D dies now using two different die embossing machines. Two the very first time I ran them through with just one layer of the material. That's a very expensive and painful experience. Both machines one small Gemini Go turns out is known for doing this but didn't know until too late. And the other is a very simple classic manual. I have a better understanding now to avoid this. I ordered a Big Shot electric and they are discontinued so hope mine arrives next week as it was the last the store I ordered from had it in stock. Another I ordered arrived super damaged due to poor shipping and protection by seller. So I think I am ready to try again. I have many of the Steele Rule dies you demonstrated today but have not tried to emboss cut outs but again you opened my mind to WHY NOT. Great tutorial and thank you for sharing.
