thank you very much, Dorothy, your stoty very interesting
May be another reason why Pushkin is very well known to Russians is because he wrote a lot of children's fairy tales like The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish, The Tale of the Golden Cockerel, У Лукоморья Дуб Зеленый, Сказка о Попе и Работнике его Балде, Сказка о Царе Салтане, Сказка о Мертвой Царевне и Семи Богатырях - I give up translating - I don't know how Dr. Todd does it. God bless him. Anyway, these fairy tales get read to kids as the bedtime stories or easy readers so you get familiar with Pushkin's style of writing at the very young age. Later in elementary school you continue learning his poems like The Cloud and To my Nanny until you gradually move on to Euguene Onegin and The Capitan's Daughter in the secondary school. Some episodes from those tales and stories are hard to forget.
Thank you for sharing your insights on Pushkin's impact on Russian literature. It's always fascinating to learn about the early exposure to his works through fairy tales.
my important question was never asked...(((
Hi there! Sorry about that! Please send us the questions over the email and we will pass it along to the Rocketry Club team 🚀
What question?
@@amc_live Don’t worry! The question was about permission for high -altitude launches for individuals. Are they possible or only for certified organizations ...?
@@I___ High-altitude launches in the USA, with rear exception, are only possible for rocketeers certified by NAR and Tripoli, and the maximum altitute for the model rockets is also dependant upon the ceiling level set for a particuliar launch site. For example, at Spaceport America Cup you may launch your rocket at 30000 feet (10 km). As for the other countries, like Russia, the situation is much different from what is in the USA, all the permisions for High-power rockets are granted on the individual requests from hobbysts or Universities and etc. What country do you represent? Tracy Furutai from NSC may help with L1 certifications in the USA if you are able to come to Seattle for at least 7 to 9 days.
I commend you all for advocating media literacy, for it is a very large problem. Focusing on political discourse as an example, the first problem is political definitions and lack of fluency. Too many people really don't know the differences among republics, democracies, and various flavors of socialism; hence propagandas can infiltrate and command a significant mind-share of a population. This is a problem of education in general, but it exasperates the problem of critical thinking. Aren't our Presidential debates an embarrassment? Media literacy has a way to go if people can'😅 0:03 t even understand the content. As for filtering information today, such as press releases from various marketing arms of organizations, trial balloons released by politicos to gauge the temperature of a topic, and the vainglorious spews online for recruitment to various causes, yes, media literacy is essential to disentangle all these threads for their intent in order to understand what is really happening. It takes many years to develop trust, in yourself and your media choices. Knowing your general economic, political, and social positions are a bulwark to media literacy, and your primary media sources should be aligned and trusted (to an extent) also. I agree that certain publications with excellent long-lived credentials are an excellent start for media literacy. I really enjoyed your discourse today. It was stimulating. Update: I just realized that for me to comment above requires some well-honed media literacy! What you are championing is indeed a noble cause.
❤
Thank
👍
Thank you very much for such an interesting and open discussion today!
Interesting lecture, thank you!
Amazing talk! Thanks to both the host and the guest.
Thank you for the great presentation about your trip to the Sakhalin Island.
Thank you
Thank you
I wonder why authors love to have their bookshelves behind them when speaking? I could put my Kindle behind me but it wouldn't be nearly as interesting!
I've always loved your voice! The TED talk was simply brilliant! "Tijuana in the house" indeed!
Super👍🙏💯
Thank you very much for a wonderful story full of interesting unknown details. It's really not possible now to get it anywhere. It's precious. Thank you🌹
Oh, thank you very much for your kind words! I will do my best to publish a book, based on this research, so everybody could get all the new facts. I have many more of them!
Thank you. Let's make the sounds of music world wide
Thank you very much for such a vivid and friendly discussion. It's really a mystery to have a possibility to be a part of it. Would be signing together forever🌹
Why is the picture quality so low?
Thank you for a wonderful conversation it was so memorable, great!
Well done, dear friends!
Could you repeat this video with session about Study in the US college
Thanks!
Very interesting concert! I'm a long-time fan of both Dylan, Russian classical music and literature and Russian folk music - of course I hit the subscription button as soon as this live stream turned up on the right-hand "suggested for you" sidebar! 😀 It's amazing that your center is still active in Moscow at this point, but I know that Russians have no problems at all with American music and will recognize quality wherever they meet it. ;) To see Bob Dylan sung in both English and Russian at a show in Moscow in January 2024 is quite uplifting... 👍❤ /Louise, southern Sweden
Finally, some appreciation for Russia. These days, we don't come across this all that much. And how the west has treated Russian artists lately is so sad. So thank you.
❤
👏👏👏🧡
Wow, AMC, thank you❤️
I really love this
