There may have been a question about the Moor in Charlottes ancestry because of her marked features. But that’s not to say that there weren’t others in her direct line of ancestry, much closer ti her that didn’t have Moorish blood as well. The Moor is a component of almost every royal/aristocratic/noble house in Europe as it was once considered the sign of the highest pedigree to have Moorish blood. Indeed there were very few royal/noble houses that didn’t.

Its puzzling why Charles II was not declared unfit to rule, whereas Juana of Castille (Catherine of Aragon's sister) was when Philip of Burgundy her husband and co-ruler died. I think a possible reason is that the Spanish wouldnt have wanted Charles's sister Marie Theresa to become Queen because she was married to Louis XIV of France, and anyway, her claim to the throne of Spain was supposed to have been surrendered under the 1659 Treaty of the Pyrenees between France and Spain. The failure of Spain to pay the massive dowry became an excuse by Louis XIV to invade the Spanish Netherlands as his wife's inheritance. Charles II had an illegitimate halg brother John of Austria who was a fairly successful soldier in the Thirty Years War but he was at odds with the Queen Mother Mariana Victoria, who probably wanted to rule through her incompetent son, Charles II.

George III suffered from porphyria, a rare hereditary metabolic disorder that can lead to severe mental disturbances. It turned his wee blue. So we know what made him "mad." It was temporary madness. Like that of a UTI of an old person. He had a bad case of UTI. George apparently inherited porphyria from Mary Queen of Scots (1542-87), who passed the genetic disorder on to 16 generations of European aristocracy As for Charlotte looking old with grey hair. Not really. They tended to wear white powdered wigs even as children. Even Mozart did. Charlotte may have had a white wig. I read elsewhere that Charlotte's great grandmother ws black. But you seem to have more detailed research. So I cant understand why Charlotte looks so black, even though the royal critics would order the court painters to painstakingly rearrange her futures to look as white as possible. If she had been so much further removed from her ancestor, I doubt she would have looked so black. Unless it's like a black child is born into a white family because genetics can do that when there is memory in the dna of black history. It happens vice versa too.
