in the Year 2112 the Young kids will be listening to RUSH and someone will say Eh check out this other 3 piece Band from Toronto called Triumph from back in the 1970's and 80's . Mic Drop
WoW . Rik is by far the Best Vocal / Guitar player in the History of Rock and Roll there is No one in his league other then Geddy Lee but he plays Bass . lol just look at Rik's performance at the US Festival in 1983 No one can do that . WE LOVE Rik and Triumph .
A song I can escape from myself, thank you.
Thought he aged out of his high range, but hitting a lot of those notes in a low breath acoustic setting is impressive. Love ya Rik!
He has always taken care of his health. Never a partier.
absolutely beautiful ❤️❤️
Such a beautiful song.
You changed the key to G huh? Is it due to your range and key preference?
He said he couldn't sing that song in the higher key anymore.
@@JRTrilling Not many men could hit the high E like he could in the day. He's fortunate that he can still talk! :-) I saw them at The Orpheum Theater in Memphis around 1981. Very underrated band.
@@bldn10 - that is awesome you saw them back then. I didnt see Triumph until the Sport Of Kings tour and it was by far one of my best live shows I have ever seen. Rik was one of my favorite guitar heroes since the late '70s when I first heard their "Just A Game" album.
It doesn't happen because Rick Emma's the best guitar player in the world
❤❤❤
I am still listening. Wow... God bless you. Greet from Indonesia. I was in first year of Senior High school on around 1980's. I am 62 years now, have 8 children and 9 grand children. I am still watching and listening your Triump songs
Yep. I had one. I carried that little radio everywhere with me. God bless you Rick Emmett, you are an icon. 🤓👍. New Years 1984/85, best live Rock show I ever saw. 🤓👍🎇
RIK it might not be the same key but his voice is still strong and awesome
Goosebumps. I love it better than the original 👍❤️🤘🏻🎸
who isn't?
40+ years later. And still rocks it. I love you Rik !!
Rik Emmett is a freaking LEGEND!!!!!
He makes it look so easy. Amazing talent.
A true master and still amazing after all these years
Kick ass!!
What a great job! Impressive!
Still as amazing as I heard as a kid
Rick is amazing!
Another fantastic performance, he absolutely hit it.
Still a great key
He still has it 👋👋👋👋👋
Dude is incredible…
Rik is SOOOOOO talented!!!!!
Rik Emmitt...wow he's not young anymore. But a grownup good guy.
I've been Rocking to Rik for over 40 years. What a blessing it is to see him again. National treasure.
I actually like this version better than the original. I think this key suits him way better. Easier on the ears.
Still listen to their songs a few times a week on Spotify. In my Mercedes. I spent 2300. just to hear my 80s favs on an upgraded soundsystem. Some people go to Hawaii, I have So Cal beaches, my Martin D10e and my retired guy car.
What a treat. He definitely still has the magic power of the music still in him. As I was enjoying this video, I thought back to the first time I saw Triumph in the late 70's in San Antonio. They played in the Municipal Auditorium which burned down within probably a year of their show. The last time I saw them was in the Hemisfair Arena which was demolished maybe 15 or 20 years after that show, to make room for progress. It's really awesome to see that Rik is a survivor. I like to think that I'm one too. Now, that Little Texas Shaker, that's a different story. I don't think she ever grew up.
You are truly a canadian treasure love you rick God bless you and your family
Love it sounds amazing
This song takes on a whole new meaning 40 years later with age and wisdom. Rik has the story and wisdom to share and I hear it with this rendition. Beautiful.
He still has it.
And they have so called singers like Taylor Swift who couldn't sing a lick even with auto tune. This is how it's done - great job Rik
🌞
Oh Yeahh! love it!!!!
Dayum..... what an amazing talent...at any age. I was finished any level of singing by the age of 58 (not that I was ANYthing like him) and he's still killing it at 70. Wow.
Same song, same groove, same feeling, same talent. Frankly, an electric version in the lower key could have been really cool to hear.
It’s his dignity that makes him so classy. Now compare that to David Lee Roth. See what I mean?
Incredible! Thanks for the memories!
One of my Favorites.. Thanks RiK ..❤
I saw Triumph 3 times in concert. Always a great show. This is the song I always looked forward to hear and I still love this song.
Oh hell yeah
Just amazing!
And just like that I'm 17 again. Thanks for being part of the soundtrack of my life..
You're getting old Rik, I love you brother
Always Loved Triumph ❤
Absolutely beautiful!!! Thanks for the walk back in to the time to the Philadelphia spectrum. Thunder 7. My first concert ever!! Still by far the best to date and I’m now 55. Much Love Much Thanks God bless bud
