Registrace 29. 05. 2015
Hi everyone and welcome to our channel. I'm Mitch, a 66yr old Australian man married to my Armenian wife, Mrs Mitch (Sonia); she's around the same age.😀
We've been living in Armenian since 2004 and our videos focus on what it's like to live in this beautiful country. We are Christians who are passionate about showing the diaspora and the world the reality of living in Armenia.
We want to show you what Armenian businesses and educational facilities are doing to make Armenia a great place to live...but we will always try our best to show you the negatives also and the challenges we face.
Our heart always leads us to regional Armenia, so we want to continue showing you aspects of the lives of local people living in very basic conditions and those people and organisations who are trying to help them.
We hope and pray that all of our videos will be to the glory of God and be of some help to the nation of Armenia and Artsahk.🇦🇲
Thank you so much for you support and may God bless you all🙏

ARMENIAN LIFE: Mrs Mitch joins me on another walk in Yerevan
Mrs. Mitch and I go on an interesting walk to her old school in Yerevan.
We begin our journey from Orbeli Street, then Baghramyan, taking a backstreet to the American University of Armenia. From there we take a zig-zag route through to the Monument District. This is a very wealthy area, which was once home to many natural areas and green parks.
Mrs. Mitch tells an amusing story from her old school where we end our journey on Azatutyan Avenue. What's the moral of the story? Do as I say, not as I do!🙏

Good analysis. Always be very, very suspicious whenever a "revolt" is being engineered against a democratically elected leader. I would not be surprised if he turns out to be a Putin agent.
@nothingness4884...good point re a "democratically elected leader!" Sadly, the Armenian Church is closely aligned with a particular party known for corruption and nefarious activities. I think the majority of Armenians know that, but they're just worried about the border situation. May God help us🙏

@@ArmenianLifewithMitch constant practice develops into a habit, subsequently the constant habit develops into character/characteristics, and constant character develops into genetics. Not the flesh and blood, nor special chromosomes that accounts for our genetics, but the time and the consistency of our practice that ultimately forms our genetics. Even our distinct genetic markers are linked to hour characteristics. In that essence, Armenians have been believing in something called god/gods. Throughout our history we had many gods. Therefore it is easier for the camel to pass through the eye of the needle, than for the Armenians to turn to god in which you believe. As you see, it’s not that the Armenians don’t believe in god, it’s just that they don’t believe in the same god as you and the Christian believers do. Egyptians too believed in gods, but not the god in which the Hebrews believed. So you just can’t preach the gospel to the ancient setbacks. They value several things when they are talking about the gospel. They are religious people, not really believers. Therefore the kind of practice has molded into our heels in a form of steel blocks. To get rid of those steel blocks, we have to undo the ball of twine. 😂 you see the things are different with me. I’ve broken away from the Armenianness since my childhood. Utilizing deep cogitation. That is the only way to deviate the Armenians or any other ancient nations from their core values. Mere preaching has no marvels on those folks. While they want to hear your positive opinion about the Armenians, you need to tell them the opposite of their expectations. But then they will antagonize you quickly. And that will put us back on the formality vs. the reality theory. Whereas you present the reality theory, and the Armenians present the formality theory. Which based on the formality theory they want to hear your positive opinion, not necessarily your true opinion, based on the reality theory. Through the native isolation, Armenians rather become the organic creatures of their culture. Nothing has changed since. Other nationals leaving in Armenia for years, they have zero influence on Armenians. That’s just the way they are. We can live side by side with you, but you will always be a stranger to us. The Armenians will back up other Armenians by sheer native factors, regardless of the amount of guilt they carry, and they will oppose you even if you are right and the Armenian is wrong. Just like the Muslims are supporting the Palestinians or other Muslims by the religious affiliation, regardless of the amount of guilt they carry. That’s why the sun never sets on the misery of those people. They always are in trouble yet blaming the others for their mischievous behaviors. I hope this will enlighten the saturation of obscurity about the true nature of the Armenians. 😂
I totally concur with you on your elaboration Mr. Mitch. However, since our folks are insensitive to their acknowledgment, the strict laws and orders are the answer for the corrective actions, rather than implementing the traditional values in effort to educate the crude notion. The western society has achieved to its current standards not because they are awesome people, but because they developed and implemented stern laws and orders to correct and rehabilitate the public. For those that are following the rules they have nothing to worry about the strictness of the laws. The ones that are unruly, they will be the ones to coordinate with the consequences of their actions. Same here, been both in traffic as well as in crime sections. 🤪😜
@PURE_LUCIDITY...Very thoughtful analysis. You raise some interesting points about the mindset of Armenians.
Sadly. 😂 Sounds like Mrs. Mitch is a great tormentor. 😂
Mrs. Mitch, show us your paintings. I paint with oil pastels and I love collecting art. Why don't you start a new channel, where you interview artists in Armenia, showing us their studios and their art?
@Kitty-ig4yh...Oh Kitty, that would be a nice idea if we were 20 years younger. It takes a lot of time and effort to produce our simple videos, so we couldn't contemplate another channel. Maybe we can do a video on some Armenian artists in the future, including Mrs. Mitch's work🙏

Hi Mitch, do you think that English teachers and classes are in need in the provinces? Thank you for the video!
@lucasbridges8082... Yes, absolutely! The problem is that there isn't the focus on English as there should be. For example, children are learning German in the public schools. Of course, there's nothing wrong with learning German, but it's not a universal language like English. Most English teachers cannot converse in English, so children from the regions get a poor English education. Have you heard of Teach for Armenia? They do a good job in the regional public schools.
@@ArmenianLifewithMitch Thank you for the insight, Mitch. I have looked into Teach for Armenia but they require fluent Armenian to be eligible, so I am afraid I´m not eligible, unfortunately.
@@lucasbridges8082 ... you can always have private "Conversational English" classes in your home. Village people can't afford to pay too much. Maybe 10,000 AMD per month for a block of lessons...and that would be the maximum amount. So, if you had 10 students, that would give you 100,000 AMD per month. You would be living very frugally of course on that, unless you have some sort of online business.
Again a nice video, thanks Mitch

@eduardotoursarkissian1552...Oh Eduardo, you've opened up a can of worms now! Apartment prices in Yerevan depend on so many variables. First, you must set a budget, and second, you need to choose an area. I would go to list.am and select your search criteria under all districts of Yerevan (presuming you want to live in Yerevan). What size apartment, what condition, and so on. This will at least give you an idea of monthly rentals. You could also join a few FaceBook groups: Secret Yerevan and Foreigners and Expats in Armenia. Sometimes they advertise apartments for rent. I hope that helps you. Kind regards, Mitch

I respect your opinion Mitch, but Pashinyan is a traitor and is giving away the country. Unfortunately, the person who got a voice is a priest. The main issue is not who is protesting, but why they are protesting and why do they have a following. Pashinyan is the one who is a traitor and is taking Armenia in the wrong direction. Also it is important to point out that traitor Pashinyan is the one steering Armenia away from Christianity as HE is the one groveling to Western Powers who are very very far from Christianity. The large carbagebins are a great improvement. When I met my wife the first time in 2012, there were large rooms under each flat and there peole throw the carbage so they were basically rat motels. I saw a lot of good improvements over the last 12 years and must say that Yerevan is a very nice place to live, the 40+ heat in the summer is the only downside. I'm positive about the electric vehicles, if your house has solar panels its a cheap transport and compared to the combustion engines the maintenance is easier and cheaper.
@TheHerald45...Yes, there have been a lot of improvements over recent years and that's a good thing. I think education is the key to helping Armenia in the long term. If children are taught from a young age to take care of our environment, in 10 years time we will have completely clean cities and villages. Already, we can see that young Armenians are being much more responsible in this area. Yes, I see your point with electric vehicles, but I'm concerned with the energy it takes to produce the batteries, the precious metal used to make them, and the concern over safe disposal of the batteries. I'm definitely no expert on this, but I know there are a lot of clever people working on positive solutions for cleaner, more efficient energy sources. The good thing about the climate here is that you get 4 distinct seasons, so the really hot weather only last for a couple of months, then you've got beautiful autumn weather. Thanks for your comment, it's really nice to hear your thoughts.🙏
I really like the Armenian weather butt the summer in Yerevan is to hot for me. Than I go from a/c to a/c butt one can escape to the mountains or lake Sevan so that is a great option. I am also not an expert butt we drive a plug-in hybrid and as we mostly drive less than 50 km we drive so most km are electric. Its is the best of two worlds is my opinion.
@@TheHerald45 ...a plug in hybrid is a good option...much better than my thirsty old girl (Infinity FX35). She's in great condition, that's why I don't want to trade to anything else at this stage., 😉

@PoweredEvents...that's really nice to hear...thank you.🙏 Mrs. Mitch and I plan to go on a similar walk tomorrow, taking a different, hillier route to work! Stay tuned for that video later in the week.🙏

Hi Mitch. As a local Armenian, I'd like to let you know how great it is that you've been able to become a local Armenian who's much more appreciative of this country than many Armenians by blood. And the fact that you make other foreigners feel loved and cared here adds so much to my respect towards you. It's a precious experience even just watching your videos, because they are filled with some of the purist love I've seen on youtube.
@Dwalin1989...Ohh, that is so sweet of you to say. It means a lot to Mrs. Mitch and I to hear such nice remarks. Thank you and may God bless you and your family.🙏
I am really surprised to see people choosing to live in my country out of 197 other. Warming to see all is getting better because my dad told me 1990s were a hell
@JJustMax...I think God allows us to go through difficulties so that we appreciate the better times. It's difficult to endure the hard times, but it also gives us strength and courage. As long as we don't become bitter toward God, but remain thankful for the good and the bad times, I think it makes us into more complete human beings🙏
