  • Mitch takes an early morning walk in Yerevan on his way to work.
    We begin from Mitch's apartment on Orbeli Street, taking the backstreets to Bagramyan Ave, and weave our way to RIO Mall and eventually Saryan Park across the road from Mitch's workplace.
    On the way, Mitch points out some new construction works and little businesses, that make up the intriguing fabric of Armenian society. We walk through a hilly part of Yerevan which is good exercise for the aging Mr Mitch.
    HOW YOU CAN HELP US TO KEEP MAKING INTERESTING VIDEOS
    We've looked at several ways for people to support this channel in the past, and we weren't comfortable with any of them.
    MoneyGram has proven a very successful and safe way for people to donate to our Artsakh refugee projects, so we thought we could use it for anyone wishing to sponsor us every month for either USD $5 or $10. This will help us greatly with fuel costs and traveling expenses. Mr. Mitch will send out reminder notices every month and there will be no obligation to continue monthly payments if you don't want to.
    You can email Mr. Mitch, where he'll explain the simple procedure of sending money via MoneyGram: peter@prayforarmenia.com
    Love from Mr. and Mrs. Mitch

    I loved watching your interesting video today. Walking in Yerevan's back streets with your calm voice and showing a different side of Yerevan that most vloggers ignore. Thank you.

      @rafaulernedtorosabal8734... I'll have to Google cornmeal tamales...as I've never heard of them. No doubt they are delicious because I like cornbread.
      We'll have to have a breakfast/dinner online rendezvous sometime!

    The large carbagebins are a great improvement. When I met my wife the first time in 2012, there were large rooms under each flat and there peole throw the carbage so they were basically rat motels. I saw a lot of good improvements over the last 12 years and must say that Yerevan is a very nice place to live, the 40+ heat in the summer is the only downside.
    I'm positive about the electric vehicles, if your house has solar panels its a cheap transport and compared to the combustion engines the maintenance is easier and cheaper.

    • @ArmenianLifewithMitch
      @ArmenianLifewithMitch  Před měsícem +3

      @TheHerald45...Yes, there have been a lot of improvements over recent years and that's a good thing. I think education is the key to helping Armenia in the long term. If children are taught from a young age to take care of our environment, in 10 years time we will have completely clean cities and villages. Already, we can see that young Armenians are being much more responsible in this area.
      Yes, I see your point with electric vehicles, but I'm concerned with the energy it takes to produce the batteries, the precious metal used to make them, and the concern over safe disposal of the batteries. I'm definitely no expert on this, but I know there are a lot of clever people working on positive solutions for cleaner, more efficient energy sources.
      The good thing about the climate here is that you get 4 distinct seasons, so the really hot weather only last for a couple of months, then you've got beautiful autumn weather.
      Thanks for your comment, it's really nice to hear your thoughts.🙏

    • @TheHerald45

      I really like the Armenian weather butt the summer in Yerevan is to hot for me.
      Than I go from a/c to a/c butt one can escape to the mountains or lake Sevan so that is a great option.
      I am also not an expert butt we drive a plug-in hybrid and as we mostly drive less than 50 km we drive so most km are electric. Its is the best of two worlds is my opinion.

    • @ArmenianLifewithMitch
      @ArmenianLifewithMitch  Před měsícem +1

      @@TheHerald45 ...a plug in hybrid is a good option...much better than my thirsty old girl (Infinity FX35). She's in great condition, that's why I don't want to trade to anything else at this stage., 😉

    Construction in Yerevan but not in the rest of the country, right? By the way, I see no traffic speed signs on these roads. That would be a good start.

    • @ArmenianLifewithMitch
      @ArmenianLifewithMitch  Před měsícem +1

      @ednaantonian8369...Yes Edna I completely agree...everything is centred on Yerevan and not on the development of the regions. Yerevan is becoming another metropolis and it's a bit sad to see. I'd really like to see more development in the regional centers, but with the proposed centralization of all the universities in Ashtarak, that's an impossible ask.😔 Armenia needs good universities in the regions, that just makes plain common sense to me...but maybe I'm missing something?🤔
