"It depends." Novel answer.
Kurt Ballou's Matt Pike impressions are hilarious.
Adding rasp to your voice the equivalent of a million bong rips, and oceans of Jack Daniel's
33:20 Brilliant!
Holy fucking Godbini
I want the warmest sounding preamp any suggestions?
AMUSING....
Not all who wander are lost, eh?
Exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!
where can i source the wire part that is used on the ear? Thank you
SO COOL! I WATCH THIS EVERYDAY WITH BREAKFAST; (((Frosted flakes with CHOCOLATE MILK IM WEIRD!!!! kinda fire tho ngl.... )))) yea good video... any more please?? PLEASE MORE VIDEOS NOWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!
Here's the thing. I'm all for engineers because they are smart and kind. But when they make fun of audiophiles I just don't get it. I and many people like me can hear vivid differences of all kinds and they do matter.
It's not what you hear. It's WHY you hear. Your ears merely pick up the sound pressure. You brain tells you what it sounds like. See where I am going here? The animal brain is the most complex multitasking operating system known. Multiple other factors influence what things look, taste, smell, and sound like. Placebo effect.
Any component has an impact on music reproduction.............you're right , what's funny is that many so called "experts " or illuminated audiophiles like to ridicule facts outside of their beliefs and are thinking within the limits of their mental straight jackets of their so understood (perfect) science .You can not argue with those kind of people with such restricted mentality.....often they even have not experienced it themselves because measurements are king .
hi there, thanks for uploading the video. can you please tell me which headset i need for my performances. if you please get a look at my videos you will see my audiences, i mean the places where i perform singing and dacing michael jackson
Please what type of mic is used here
So I’m a bit confused, can you test an Xlr cable to see if the line is any good without the speaker or a microphone using the voltage meter on top? Similar to the sound tools xlr sniffer?
Incredible, thanks for posting it
The build looks beautiful, any thoughts on why some builds are done spacing out all the components versus this one ? Is there a noise difference? Very curious
Just a warning to anyone wanting to use this as a guitar pedal. It is not suitable. While it is definitely a working low pass filter it has an audio range similar to a passive low pass filter.
I couldn't quite make out the name of the company with the great Audio application notes. Can you post a link here? Thanks.
Cool story, Kevin is an alumnus from my high school. Now I’m our theater department’s sound engineer and also went through the Hanover with Nick! I came across this video looking for a way to rig this kind of mic wire and was pleasantly surprised to see a fellow GHS theatre kid. Hopefully lightning will strike twice and I can get A1 one day🤞. Great video, super informative.
Jesus was the only good ✡ Ever made..
Time for a S3-87 ...
1k visited. One of the more brilliant and fascinating musicians. Says it all.
This is so awesome, thank you for posting.
John Mayall had a album called turning point, which was beautiful . However, Super Session was the true turning point. Anyway it was for me. Thanks for the memories.
I was not expecting his voice to sound like that.
I have been a big fan of Al since the 60's and I always love to see and hear him. We are the same age and our tastes are very alike.
I just color my cds green before I rip them.
Some very interesting stuff there
Al Kooper is the COOLEST! ♥️🎼♥️
Must he a smart guy
Is vintagemicrophonepcbkit.com still in business? I emailed them about an order I want to place about a U47 kit/body/pcb and I never hear back from them..
Rock on Al.not Alice
Very interesting discussion but lots of thumping from someone hitting the desk.
hey thank you so much I am a up and coming sound engineer and location sound recording engineer I am so thank fun for this plz add me to your group you could find me on fb or ig
Profited largely from Jay's books as did my daughter who became a post sound wizard, including work for Comedy Central & features...
Stunning speech...¡¡¡
How I never get a mic with a 4um ribbon, would sound quite nasty. I prefer 1.8um minimum and sometimes spring for 1.2, maybe have one 1.1 in a refurbished Reslo.
1:31 love the comment on the foil package ...”micrometers... not microns!”...
Grate ! Thanks The best regards :)
im saying though???
How about making a low noise preamp for that mic for field recording of ambient noise or for film making? Thanks! :)
Google search the following NEUTRIK NE446 NC3FM-C-B CONVERTCON
I bought some of these things - ribbon material and a couple of the crimp tools. I need to order the transformers and mu metal. Very exciting.
Good analysis.
does this mic work for musicals?
demo please!! sounddddd
Nice video! Got any audio clips of this mic?
Hi how do I get hold of Dani?
Which microphone is it?
Just ordered one of these builds from Billy and couldn't be more excited!
Kurt Ballou is unintentionally hilarious! Holy Shit
I love that Audio Builders don't know how to normalize audio in their DAW. :-)
Richard Wielgosz I love that we don’t have to edit video in our daw. :)
