I recall my biology lessons: Endothelial cells form a single layer within all blood vessels, and they regulate the exchanges between one's blood and the surrounding tissues. They're a kinda fancy filter that handles gas exchange and other tissue products transferring into and out of your blood. Very special cells that play an important role within our bodies. I have lived in Japan these last 21 years. That residence tax and medical insurance is based on your income. If your income goes up, those payments go up too. Yes, if you are not a regular employee but a freelancer, these amounts will not be automatically deducted from your salary and you will have to save money out of your freelance earnings to pay them. Don't forget the national pension payment too. Last I checked it was around 17000 yen a month. If you don't stay long in Japan, you can get some of that back in a lump sum when you leave. I remember I worked freelance for about 9 months before I got a regular job. Years later, they came at me with a demand to pay pension contributions for those nine months. Question: do you get hassled for those tatoos when you go to a sentou or onsen?

Just to explain about the cases they are to protect the cats from potential harm and the cats very much enjoy the display cases and can be seen sometimes asking to be let in to them. They protect the cats as a form of respect because they are the life of the station and everyone there loves them
