I filled them with a few inches of pea gravel and then weed barrier on top. Filled it with an organic...

If you are watching this now, some advice. If you try to use compressed air to blow out the area thinking it will work? Use caution. You might damage the blend door flaps with high pressure Asian 120 psi. Reduce the pressure a whole bunch. Or just forget that idea altogether.

It's called " Shift Interlock Solenoid"
I wish the shift interlock solenoid is what was bad (that would have been much easier), unfortunately it was the small black plastic switch. If you have the part number for it that would be awesome but I don't believe you can get that part on it's own unfortunately.
I think the part # is 84722F for the switch that went bad in my truck. If you got to the link below and look up the "shift lock release" you can see the part I'm referring to. But you can't order it from them. And when I try to look up the pn online only variants of the pn come up. And the part doesn't look the same. It's an odd ball. I can find it on ebay as part of a used full shifter assembly but that's about it. autoparts.i-5toyota.com/products/product/link-shift-lock-release-3356434051
You really gotta drill the rivets off? Wtf lol why cant you just take them off? Thats strange
@@iprophecy6768 I might learn something today. I have only removed rivets by drilling the head off and knocking it through with a punch etc.
Great video! Would've been nice to see you actually purge/evacuation of the preexisting refrigerant for thoroughness unless I missed it somehow... Not sure why you wouldn't show that part as it's important i would think. Isn't the refrigerant bad for the environment? Over all great video! Thank you!
That is a great point. In my video description I explain this concern. I've also expanded it after reading your comment. Thanks for the feedback and thank you for watching
Very good video! At the beginning, when vacuuming the lines, do you need open the the high side as well or just low side?
Thank you. Yes I usually do vaccum both sides simultaneously.
But both lines need to be open, correct??
@@noeperez5052 it's ok to vaccum with both lines open.
Mine ac compressor just gave out on my 15’ Sierra 2500 with the 6.0, now i can remove old and install new but as far as recharge it im not familiar with that, also since I don’t have to drain it before removing the bad one would you work on a vehicle where the owner replaced ac compressor and you just needed to recharge it ?
If I didnt know how much oil was in the compressor that was installed personally I'd ask whoever installed it if the compressor came with oil or not. If it did then I'd just vaccum it and charge it. If it didn't or they aren't sure then I'd remove it and make sure it has the recommended amount of oil in it.
TY
Ordered the parts today. Will be prepping my 04 Silverado 2500 today also. Thanks for this video!
Does your tuck had a filter before
No it did not. I modified it to accept a filter
Great video might try this myself , just a little spooked with opening the airbag and the plastic welding. But definitely solves the problem
Mine did the same thing. I had a vent phone holder by the shifter. The shifter was hitting the phone holder. I took off the phone holder from the vent and relocated it somewhere else 🙏🏼 no need to replace anything. Ty for your video 👌🏼
I have a ‘04 Z71. I am going to do this.
Not as easy as it looks. Dropped melted plastic on my finger and burned it. Not that dirty considering 268000 miles.
Your my hero Frank
If I bought a compressor prefilled, do I need to add PAG 46 anywhere else?
If all you're replacing is the compressor all you have to do is ensure it has the same amount of oil as the last compressor did. Basically think about it like this, if you removed a compressor you also removed any oil that's contained in that compressor from the system. So you'll want to measure how much oil comes out of your old compressor once you remove it so you can be sure that the same amount of oil is being replaced. You want your new compressor to have the same amount of oil as the old one. So drain the old one and measure. Then drain the new one and measure. Then refill the new one accordingly Unless you're system has been overfilled with oil in the past this is a tried and true method. If you're in doubt don't worry too much about it. Just go with the recommended amount of oil for your compressor and you'll be fine.
With I thought it was a EMBLEM YOU had to replace, at his is a CHEATINGVISEO . don’t need to finish watching it , man . 👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿

Thank you!! This was so helpful.
Thanks for sharing.
Hey! Thank you!!! Jst unplugged it and fixed. Question though, can you leave it like this forever???
I try to explain in the video but that is a safety feature so that you can't turn off your truck while in gear and then have it roll away. So I wouldn't leave it like that. In my second video I show how to repair the issue on the truck in question so the ignition lock can function as designed.
Hi Frank, yes. But I was wondering if there was anything related to maybe the airbag or who knows what. I tried to google the part..no success yet! Cant say thank you enough though!!!@@scrappynotcrappy
In my 2004 there are 4 bolts and each one of them is cuss out.
Hello is there a problem if you simply stick a new emblem over the old one? (Using 3M double sided)
Good question. I wouldn't think so but there's always the question of where does that go when the air bag pops. Personally i don't like the look but I see lots of people on CZcams do it.
Nice video! Can I ask how much the doors costs. I just bought and installed the convertible version which gives you two sliders windows plus half door’s option by removing the top half. $2,100. The problem with my doors is,with the top slider windows installed, it’s hard to see out of them because there’s too much framing material around the sliders . Plus the dont slide open but maybe 5 inches. I do love the half door opinion though and overall happy with these doors. One recommendation to SuperATV is to use black nuts and bolts and washers, instead of silver. Also the convertible doors are advertised by SuperATV as not compatible with the glass flip up windshield which I have. You can make it work by drilling one hole in the front pillar bracket forward of the windshield gas schlock bolt.

Trying to decide on hardcoated poly vs glass front and rear for my new defender. How is glass holding up?
Glass is holding up great. Zero issues
Does having the back window cut down the engine noise any?
@@craigrogers3163 honestly I don't think it does.
So, I checked where that filter goes and luckily I don’t have the cover. but, where you screw in the bolt to hold the filters in is broken. Is there something I can buy to replace the screw mount so I can do this?
Just use some good black tape. Someone in a comment above said save the piece you cut out and put it back with gorilla tape
That is what I am going to do, duct tape, gorilla tape, or whatever I can find in the garage.
My favorite part of this video is how you use your truck tailgate as a workbench. That is my goto workbench as well.
I have the same problem in a 2008 and I just did the same thing that this guy did. It seems to be working as it should when disconnecting that cable. I just hope this helps you. This is a 2008 that I have.
Why do you need to ad one ?
Save your money. Buy the 2 piece filter. Dremel cutting tool attachment. Gorilla tape what's left of the "door" back into place. Doesn't have to be a perfect seal either.
My door didn't come with a screw 🫤
I would contact the seller and let them know.

It worked on my Tundra, thank you!
Direction of air flow for the filter is going towards the passenger door or towards the driver door?
Should point towards the driver if I remember correctly. You're filtering the air before it runs across the coils. Coils should be on the left side.
@@scrappynotcrappy thank you
did ur ac run cooler?? or whats the improvement
The main improvement was that the cabin air was filtered. Kind of like how your home ac has a paper filter.
Just did this mod except I used cabin air filter CF8791A, which is a 2 piece air filter. 1) I didn't have to cut out the whole length of the air filter hole. 2) Fitting up the 2 small filters is a lot easier than trying to bend and cram in 1 large filter because of how close the floor is.
Doing two filters, do they go side by side or one on top of the other one?
