Hi Ron. Out of curiosity, have you ever looked into the Tulsa Race Massacre in the year 1921? I believe over 120 people were murdered in Tulsa. It is my understanding that University of Oklahoma has been searching and has located many mass graves in cemetary near downtown Tulsa OK. It is a horrible part of Tulsa history, but one that deserves attention and our compassion.

I’m wondering if the Cornish miners originally immigrated to the mineral point/ shullsburg(?)/ galena areas in Wisconsin and Illinois. Lots of Cornish miners there back in the day. My grandpa was of Cornish descent, born in the mineral point area, ended up in Warren Il.

If you get over by Galena, stop in Warren Il and check out the cemeteries there. There’s a headstone for some who was either born or died in 1721. It’s the oldest I’ve seen in that area.

I realize I asked this question on Silverton video, but since you were in Silver Plume. Did you search for the Daily Herald sport reporter Keith Reinhard who mainly cover high school sports? In 1988 he took a break from the Herald and went to Silver Plume and has never been seen again. My dad, brother, and I went to Silver Plume in 1991 and since I was taking architecture classes at Harper College, I photographed the buildings in Silver Plume. At the time I didn't realize that this was town the reporter disappeared from.
