THIS CHANNEL:
_________________________________________________________
The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named âThe Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.
#graves #cemeteries #death
Many are asking about the ship behind me, here is the background:
I bought this model of the HMS Victory about 20 years ago. In Cabo, San Lucas, Mexico. An old man had spent 20 years of his life meticulously making it. The finest of details.
The antique original illustrations behind it are also of Lord Nelson's HMS Victory. I had posted - czcams.com/users/postUgkx31WBm41LxTwx0IErv_GXjcLW-4zXB7wC
I did pay a handsome sum for this, rewarding the talented old timer. It was hard to get it here. Shipping was very expensive,. Luckily we had very little damage.

It's beautiful, a lot of work and talent đIts good to see you, you are amazing. I do like the older stories, especially the Victorian!!!
Yes I saw that and I remember you telling the story about it. It really is beautiful.
I have actually been on the HMS Victory many years ago, and you can still smell the gunpowder where the cannons are, it is a beautiful ship
Oh yes, you must visit HMS Victory over here in England! Brilliant ship!
Beautiful quite a bit of work and effort when into this ship model .
I prefer older stories as they are truly the forgotten. Good to see you Ron. đ
Agree
Agree
I agree with you , history is so interesting and important đ€
Me too
Ron, you can ramble anytime you want. We are here for it! I don't care what kind of stories you do. They NEVER disappoint. You have such a gift of storytelling. I'm so thankful for the hard work you do. I hear many say how frustrating it can be to do all the editing and everything that goes into putting a video up. You and Deb are true treasures. So, thank you with all my heart â€ïž
I agree with you Ron, I also like the history of the 1800s and early 1900s best, the Victorian era. The modern stories, in my opinion, do not need to be so many. The oldest are, as a previous follower wrote, the most forgotten.
Love from across the pond.

We've missed you here on CZcams, Ron! I love those older "forgotten" stories, too and no one can tell them like you can. Looking forward to those Sunday night premieres!!!
Ron, you have truly been missed! Thank you for coming back sooner! đ€
Ron, you could ramble for an hour straight and we all would stay & listen to ya.đ
We all will be so glad to have you back from your vacation... You have been missed.
I love hearing about the really old stories, they hold so much meaning. People lived how they had to back then in order to survive life. Those stories are always so interesting.....
Keep yourself safe out there Ron.đđ
very kind of you Alicia, thank you!!
thank you Ron for being so caring for the families of the stories.
I enjoy the older, forgotten stories as well. Glad you're back!
I went through the whole liquidation of belongings of parents, grandparents, the raising of 5 boys into men, and three nearly grown grandsons. Took about 6 months from beginning to end for me and the boys to conquer it. I'm ready to watch the good stuff you make on your channel once again. Glad to hear your plans. Thanks Ron.
We love it too! So glad youâre coming back sooner!
Moving, ugh. I hate moving. Glad you're thinking of us and the channel contentâ€â€â€
I especially love to see the tombstones with photos. It makes the forgotten come to life again. Have you considered going to Cave Hill cemetery in Kentucky? They have beautiful statues. I love Victorian cemeteries. Thank you for all you do.
thanks, already went to Cave Hill a while back.

Hello Ron, you've been very busy. And, it seems as though you've located your niche. You have a solid speaking voice, a formidable storyteller while you're presenting and narrating each feature. You've been able to amass a reputable team with Deb, Brit, and many other contributors - it's amazing. It's good to see you excited about those many changes and shifts in your personal life. Remember we are all evolving no matter the age. Good with the moving, and safe travels. đđđ

Good stuff coming, đ I'm 66 and now buy what i need, and not what I want, wish I'd done it years ago.đ
60, lol. I started purging in my 30s after we went through my Grandma's house after she passed and had to deal with it all. So glad your back!

Here's another short one. Love you Ron. So happy you are back early. All settled in AZ. Missed my Sunday videos. Hard work appreciated so much. Let's gooo! From KC Mo.
Glad you're coming back Ron. Faces of the Forgotten had/has become part of my weekly viewing, so when you decided to take a well-deserved break, I can honestly tell you that I missed your videos and your great story telling.
Make sure not to overdue it . . . we don't want you getting burnt out! đ
One final thought - not that it's any of my business, but I'm hoping that you let a few friends or family members know when you're heading out to some of those unpopular or deserted areas (such as when filming your Galeyville video) so that "just in case" you get hurt, twist an ankle, etc. you've got people who will know if you're not coming back home when expected.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to your upcoming videos. Thanks for all that you put in to them.
yes, thank you, my wife knows where I am any with every step. All good!!
Iâm SO EXCITED AND HAPPY TO SEE YOU BACK!! You look Refreshed and Ready To GOOOOO đ YOU INSPIRE US,, play the ones that canât go out and see the different things that you share with us. Thank you. You are appreciated so much.â€
I must admit, I didn't think I was a superfan, although I never missed an episode from day 1. But glad your back, I missed your story telling, and adventures.
Thanks, Ron! Glad to see you back early. There is so much out there to explore. Here in the Show Low area there are some good stories, especially about how Show Low got its name. The early pioneer families in our area - some good stories there too. I love this channel!!! You do a great job Ron! Take care!
Let me know how it got its name. Email me facesforgottentoday@gmail.com. Unfortunately I donât see replies here in comments
I knew you wouldn't be able to hold out that long but God bless you đ
Hello from NW Tennessee. You have been sorely missed! Your respect for the feelings of families is so compassionate. Being the widow of two veterans (Vietnam and Iraq) has taught me how thoughtless some folks can be. I love the old stories of the truly forgotten and look forward to ones to come. Glad your life changing experience has gone well and been a good thing. Glad when mine was done! Blest be...
Youâve been missed! So glad you are back, Ron!!Sundays haven't been the same. I'm looking forward to all the things you have planned! đ
This is great news! Always looking forward to the latest FOTF adventures. Yes, moving is no fun. Seems like furniture and those damm boxes are everywhere. Then having to unpack and place all that stuff. And getting familiar with the new house and neighborhood.
We're all happy to see FOTF back in action.
Ron, glad to have you back in Wisconsin! Moving and purging is a big job! I moved to Toronto many years ago and then came back to Wisconsin. The cost of living was so expensive there. It took me six months to clean out my husbandâs family home. They collected so much!
Looking forward to these upcoming episodes! Now, Iâm excited for Halloween and Christmas. Have missed your stories! Good luck with that plane hangar!
YAY, you're coming back! Can't wait to see the new stories. I've really missed the Gang's get-together on Sunday nights, it's become a tradition almost. Will look forward to your next offering.
Great having you back Ron, watching from Barbados đ§đ§
Oh boy!!! So excited to see that you are back in the saddle. I always enjoyed Sundays...waited all week for them. Glad you love the research and to travel so much...always interesting.
Hi Ron, so good to see you back! Can't wait to watch the new. stuff!!! Especially stories from Ohio because that's where I'm from - lived in Washington state the last 40 yrs. - but go back often to visit. Lots of history there. for sure. Best regards! đ„°
Thanks for update. I love all the stories from Victorian and the Western period. I'm looking forward to whatever stories you put out.đ

So good to see you and catch up. Can't wait for all the stories you have in store for us! Welcome back!

Glad to see you back for a spot. Really miss ya, but everybody needs a vacation. Love ya Ron.
Hey Ron good to see you my friend â€..... Mary
So glad you are back!!â€
my friend ron!yooou are back, yay!
Hey Ron, it's great to see you.!!! You look great đ I prefer the older stories to. Glad all is going well for you. Thank you â€ïž
I have really enjoyed your stories. My mom and I used to enjoy walking around cemeteries, which seemed kind of strange to others. It was a special time for us that I will always cherish. She has since passed, and I have become disabled. Talk about uneven terrain and trying to navigate walking with a cane.! Pretty dangerous!đ
You are a wonderful storyteller and thank you for taking all this time and effort . It is very appreciated.
Ron - you NEVER ramble. Everything you tell us is totally absorbing and I'm sure everyone is happy to hear your stories . So keep up the ramblings and so looking forward to the new adventures đ
Hi Ron! Always good to see your smile and hear your voice. Thank you for reaching out to your FOTF Family. We miss you and we love you. Your vacation has all been very challenging projects of renovations, relocations, consolidation of museum collections and unpacking and getting things squared away. You deserve a vacation from your vacation. Just so you can rest. †You are doing amazing things and all in a short timeframe. Moving across country is a huge undertaking. I have done it 4 times in my adult life and it didn't include hangars and museums so yours entails much more than mine did. But I can empathize. It sounds like everything is falling into place nicely and settling down somewhat and we are happy for you and your family in your new home. A warm place for winters. †We look forward to your productions and premieres and just anytime you can say hi to us all.
Take care and God bless. â€đ
I love the older stories better, they're like History lessons in a way when you tell them. Thank you for the update Ron, keep up the great work
Hello Ron, greetings from the Czech Republicđ
I totally missed you as others have.....Welcome back...new episodes..... And Sunday ...I can't wait..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for the update Ron and I will see you soon. I still have a couple of your videos to watch, the longer ones I have to break up because they drain the battery on my phone but goes for anyoneâs video over thirty minutes.
Ron, I couldn't be happier hearing your update! Your news on what you are planning now for the channel really made my day. I am thrilled that you are eager and ready to get going again with videos and wow, when you specifically mentioned Halloween programs for October, my inner child got so excited! đđ»đïž And speaking of purging during one's sixties, this is something I am currently planning on tackling at the age of 67 myself. I just returned home from a road trip to Nevada and Arizona (I go once a year) and as I envision living in Arizona in the future myself, I need to get ready. Bless you for your sensitivity towards not airing stories which might open up unhealed wounds for survivors of the deceased involved. I find the older stories of particular interest myself, but I especially love the stories referring to the Old West. Keep 'em coming! So happy that you want to come out of vacation now! I have missed your videos and I am truly delighted that you are going to be making them regularly again. Woo hoo!!!
really looking forward to the next video[s]......................... catch you soon......stay safe. love and greetings from Holland
Can't Wait â€
Yay! Giddy up Cowboy and let's go!
Have you done one of Frank Leslie?
No not yet. Maybe someday
He is one of my favorite characters
Love all your stories â€ïž you are amazing
Fellow Wisconsinite, says hey! Especially the Driftless Region!
Welcome back Ron!! Good to see youđ
Iâve missed your stories; Ron, you are a master storyteller. I liked the newer ones but understand about not wanting to upset the families. I love the older stories, and for a little while, lots of people are thinking about someone who is long gone, and itâs like they get to live a little bit in our group.
Great to see you back and doing well! Looking forward to more episodes â€â€â€â€. Thank you for all the hard work you put in for us.
We all missed you so very much Ron, All of us were lost without you here...but Welcome đ€ back
Was so very afraid that your Hiatus was going to turn into something permanent will be so happy to spend my Sundays with you again
I always enjoy watching faces of the forgotten. The stories are the best. God bless Ron.
Thanks for rambling on your future plans. Your ramblings are welcome.
The future sounds good. Keep 'em coming. Your respectful style of teaching us about the past will keep us waiting for the session you choose to show us.
Thanks for doing what your doing. The true stories (and some are really dumbfounding...) are remarkably fascinating!
Again, Thank You!!
I was born and raised in the UK, l will be pleased to look up locations to see! Wales, Scotland, and Cornwall, along with England, are all worth seeing! Lots of history everywhere there! Donât do any more mountain climbing, I was so afraid youâd fall!!!
Wow Ron so happy you are back, you do fantastic stuff ,intriguing. Be so happy when you come to the UK đŹđ§
Love your wild west videos and Colarado is beautiful take care out there đđ
So happy to see you back and am glad you took some time off. Everybody needs to do that.
