    Ridiculous title. Neither Dangote, nor Nigeria has ever sought monopoly in this sector. Dangote being a monopoly is just an urban legend. Today, Nigeria is in need of investors in the steel industry. The sector is open to all capable and willing to build a steel production plant. No so-called Nigerian billionaire has shown any interest whatsoever to venture in the sector. Guess what? Once Dangote, a true industrialist with balls, vision, and business acumen, gets into that sector and starts steel production, the enemies of progress will start smearing the great man, claiming that he's a monopolist. Toally ridiculous!

    Couldn’t they just start producing it. Instead of just “assembling”. I mean, Nord, innoson and many others produce theirs. There is also those guys too. I’m guessing it might be because we don’t have some of the things dangote might need for that Dangote Sino truck. (Not sure).

      The question you should be asking is how are cars produced…. Currently no car company from Toyota to Bentley produce 100% of their own parts because its stupid, it will drive up your cost of sales. Business at that level is partly about keeping cost of sales down for better margins, the best way to do that is to outsource production as much as possible. Apple showed the benefit in going 100% outsourced and tesla did the same. All foreign cars we buy were all assembled. “Assembly” doesn't take away ownership. The parts manufacturers build parts to your specification making it your own with your branding and everything however you order it. Another good question would be how does Nigeria improve its parts manufacturing sector.

      @@skiiytastic if we want to become a manufacturing power house. We need to start producing more of our stuff within Nigeria. At least 60% of the materials need, should be findable in Nigeria. It doesn’t have to be everything. If we can do that at an efficient level. I’m sure some car companies that don’t want to manufacture in China anymore, could or might move to Nigeria. Since we’ve shown that many of the things they need can be gotten here, which would be cheaper for them.

    • @amgoodd
      @amgoodd Před 11 dny

      Innoson is assembling not producing. We don’t have steel rolling mills so stop confusing yourself. Tell us where the parts are produced if you’re so sure of your information.

    • @skiiytastic
      @skiiytastic Před 11 dny

      @@amgoodd guy in an automobile industry… assembly is production, stop confusing yourself with big words people told you their opinions about and do actual research. What you are waffling about innoson producing is not feasible, every car producer assembles the car that is how cars are produced, just because Nigeria doesn't have a parts industry doesn't mean you can't produce cars and not too long ago just because Nigeria doesn't have a car production company doesn't mean Nigerian companies can't sell cars. Now that there is car producing factories it creates a sub market for parts but that won't happen in a space of a couple of years, until then the owners of our homegrown cars have to increase to the point that innoson cannot handle fixing all the cars when they mess up, more money becomes available for the parts manufacturers and mechanics because part of the money parts manufacturers make come from regular people buying parts to fix their cars. Stop complaining about innoson and the other ones just start driving it if you can afford it, or wait but while waiting try not to undermine the worth of our cars by spouting misinformation that confuse people.

South East was very calm & peaceful few years ago until Herdsmen came & started killing & kidnapping people but government did little or nothing until people resorted to self help so FG should be blamed for the insecurity in South East & should make peace if possible.
