You should show this one to your Dad. He might like it better. I think the digital show of SOS was not the best one to show him. The 2017 SOS version from the Singer Competition would also be much better to show him. There is no loud band or electronic effects and Dimash does not use his breathy singing technique at the beginning. It is just Dimash's pure beautiful voice :) or if he wants to hear one that Dimash composed himself and is written in an operatic style El Amor en ti from Almaty Concert :)

You said in the video that we should leave a comment. Well.. since you inactivated the comments, I give my oppinion on your fathers analysis of Dimash in that reaction video, here in this comment section . Your father is apparently very arrogant and ignorant. He should really look up some facts about Dimash, his long and still ongoing education in music, before making certain statements. Then as for the song "SOS d'un terrien en détresse", it is rated as one of the 5 hardest songs to sing for male singers. What your father calls "angel wings" refers to the Kazakh eagle. The performance is from Dimash's own digital show that he streamed on January 16, 2021.

Well, it doesn't look like you paused your comments everywhere. I started reading the Dimash with your dad comments and then notice comments were paused. I have not seen that before and I watch a lot of CZcams. That reaction by your dad on Dimash is pretty amazing. I recommend anybody watching this gets a chance to watch Dimash vs. Dad. He turned off the comments so as not to hear the truth about his father's ignorance and envy. We won't see any more reactions from him. His father's reaction to Dimash was extremely brutal, rude and empty of substance. I've never seen someone so bothered and envious of him. He doesn't understand anything about music and the creative and interpretative TALENT of a neoclassical musician. Dimash has a background in classical music and has a PhD in Composition. He recently sang with the opera legend at his invitation (Plácido Domingo) and today he is part of the jury of the "Virtuosos" program in Budapest for young people and teenagers who start classical music... where Plácido is director and conductor. Dimash sings in more than 10 languages, plays seven instruments and is a far cry from his father's poor and miserable considerations.

Your father is obviously not a fan. You could try the duet with Placido Domingo & Dimash though I doubt he will change his mind. I think the beauty of Dimash is the cross over of genres and how he is introducing many people who would totally ignore opera to perhaps step outside their comfort zone. I know how it feels when you admire Dimash to have others belittle him. Well done for trying. 👍

Oh my dears - don’t be so judgmental. I have to say - his father is in some reason right. It was by far one of the worst chosen performances for his father. He would have better done the 2017 Version of The Singer in China - pure Voice without disturbing lights and overdrumming music and echo. When I first saw this performance I really was disgusted, because I didn’t hear the beautiful voice of Dimash. Now I can be amused about. I like Nick, but his father is a pompous know-it-all who clearly doesn't know as much as he believes he does. Many other singers, including Placido Domingo and Andrea Bocelli, who know MUCH more than this unknown man, have verified Dimash's great technical skill. Not enjoyable to watch him at all, and I wouldn't watch him analyze *any* singer ever again.

Well, I won't be subscribing to this reactor. The father has no clue if what he is talking about. It is more than his fans that he is the best singer in the world but just about every professional. Dimash has also, by many, delared the best singer of all time.

Once you realise that Dimash actually uses his voice, the notes and inflections to tell the story of the song, you'll get past the 'is he just a freak show?' feeling. Dimash, Lara Fabian and Gary Moore are, in my opinion the best at making you understand the song without knowing or even having any lyrics at all. Sometimes you just have to open yourself up to feel, not think. To help answer your question further, please check out Ikanaide, Samaltau, Be With Me, Golden, Olympico, Daybreak, When I've Got You and Stranger. You'll see what I mean.

Two things: 1, stop recommending the performance with Domingo (a s****l assaulter reported by over 20 women and banned in many places for that). 2.I'm subscribing because some people is going to punish you because of your rude father. He is old enough to know better.

I forgot to mention that it’s true that often Dimash shows his vocal abilities. Could anybody tell me one singer who doesn’t? The problem is that most singers can only show 2 octaves, some 3, a handful of them 4 and then, there is Dimash with 6+ octaves. That means he shows off because he gives us what he can offer? Every artist offers his/her best whenever they can. Well Dimash can do his and more and I am so glad we can witness this jewel of the human voice. ❤ from Spain 🇪🇸

Just read the comments before watching the reaction. Do not recommend this channel button is perfect for this situation. This is not a fungirl reaction. This is a reaction of 60 years old woman's respect to knowledge, hard work, talent and uniqueness.

I think your father is getting too in his own head on Dimash's range of octaves and styles. I've seen a couple people do that before, a couple more videos might help him get past that. He suggested a lack of conveying emotion in his voice alone, yet dismissed that range and those styles as a freak show aspect when in fact those are specific ways to convey those emotions. Even more so in a unique way basically no other human can do so. Beyond that you can certainly hear the emotion in Dimash's voice. Even former Opera singers that analyze him often credit him more on his ability to emote and convey emotion than his range. Though I get it, it this modern age of youtube etc it's easy to be a cynic and get stuck in your own head. I'd almost suggest having your father watch and listen to this again beyond the shock factor of the visual effects and Dimash's range.
