The Ghostrider is Patrick Furstenhoff. A Swedish stuntrider and ex-racer. He's been doing crazy shit for over 3 decades and making Ghostrider movies for over 2 decades. He has been in the Guinness book of World records from the mid nineties until 2017 as the holder of the fastest wheelie on a motorbike. In the nineties he beat Gary Rothwell with a 191.1 mph wheelie and in 2011 Patrick F (aka Ghostrider) did a 214.4mph officialy recorded wheelie at Elvington speedweek setting a new record. Only to be beaten by an Irish guy in 2017...That guy did an officially recorded wheelie of 217.4mph. Ghostrider however did a 220mph (354kph) wheelie in 1 of his movies on his 500bhp turbobusa. This was on a highway and thus doesn't count as official. The speedometer of a Suzuki GSX-R1000 (and all other Japanese bikes) doesn't show speeds above 299kph (186mph) due to a law the Japanese government made in the early 2000's. Back than Suzuki with its GSX-R 1300cc Hayabusa was competing with the 1400cc Kawasaki ZX1400R and Honda's 1100cc blackbird for highest topspeed. Speeds reached 340+kph. Japanese government was affraid this would make people try to be the fastest for bragging rights and would eventually lead to deaths. So they installed a law that bikes should'nt be allowed to show speeds above 299kph to deter people from seeking the topspeed. Above 299kph, they wouldn't know their real speed...only that it's somewhere above 299kph. So when Ghostrider's speedo is pinned at 299kph, he's actually riding at more than 300kph.
