Testing out the Hover X1 Camera (Self-flying HD camera)

No time being wasted showing you the unboxing. You know how to unbox something. Straight into the content.
We explore some of the different modes and get used to how it tracks and flies. We are amazed at how still the footage is even during a bit of gusty wind! You will mostly see the Hover X1 Camera in this video.
I didn't feature the other gadget much as it speaks for itself. I am using the DJI OM SE smartphone stabiliser to capture what the Hover X1 looks like. It eliminates hand shake that you would otherwise get when you are holding the phone to record a video. The "joystick" (up/down/left/right) control takes a bit of getting used to. Especially if you have to switch to front facing camera because then the controls are reversed.
We are really impressed with the Hover X1 and would recommend it if you need to get some cinematic or clever shots like a drone would. It is simpler to use than a drone and less expensive, but it doesn't fly as far and the battery doesn't last as long.
We were impressed that the Hover X1 didn't want to land on my hand, and it stayed away from me because I am not the person that launched it. I even tried to stand in the way of the person launching it to confuse it and get it to track me instead, but it wasn't fooled. Instead it avoided me and flew over me etc. and refused to land on my hand. Amazing tech!
