Have you looked at the 1800 funflys, ive always builts 6s 5" drones and i get around 5-6 minutes with rline 1400 v4 or my older 1550, bit i built a 4s 2450kv 2207 5" and the 1800s look a good weight, and i dont want to order 4 1800s and bog it down when 1550s would be adequate! Thanks

Holding the bank now and so on.. Always the same cadence and same turn speed. Make it smooth. Thank you Andy! About two years ago I suddenly lost interest in FPV, it went from being the most fun things in my life to simply not do anything for me anymore. Turns out there were a few things in my life that made me unhappy, and now that I've taken care of those issues I've been hoping for a rekindling, but the process has been slow. Just wanted to say that your videos of late, flying at a field with a good friend, nothing more, nothing less have been a joy to watch and are helping me to reconnect with the hobby. I would like to do this to one of my planes. I have one question though. I would like to use the DJI O3 FPV unit for my camera, and i was wondering if all i had to do to power it was to have it plugged into the balance lead. Do i need anything else or is that it?
O3 needs a flight controller it doesn't output full power unless it receives an arm command
@@AndyRCchannel so what flight controller should I get and would that have to fully replace my receiver? Or should I just get the camera that you have to have that plugged directly into the balance lead?
Nice one Andy. I haven't got that brave with any of my jets yet. Taking off and flying will be easy but getting them on the ground without smashing the U/C off worries me a bit. Have you got any tips?
I find landing fpv with the edf much easier to judge. It depends how long your runway is and the jet you are flying but the hawk has quite a nice glide slope you just have to make sure it doesn't stall on the flair. I did this by finding where the stall was in the air and notice where my throttle position is. When the wings start to rock give it plenty of throttle and that's the stall. Then just make sure you stay above that for the landing. Use flaps if you have them for lift and stability

No I don't get any drift. I find version 0.9 of the head tracker just seems to work so iv never upgraded but iv heard from friends they struggle with drift a lot. I wouldn't attempt to fly an edf if there was any drift as you can't take your hands off the controls

@@Silver-Fox-RC I use the the bdi / d2a analogue adapter board to house and power it which I do think gives it nice clean power and gets it away from any interference

Hi Andy, I have the boxer max, previously the standard boxer and TX16S. What I’ve noticed is that every one has RXrange on the 4 stick channels of 989 2012 irrespective of protocol or FC. Any idea why that would be? Great to see you making content again mate, can I selfishly ask for a refresh of your LOS tutorial if you have time 😊
I think that's correct. Just over a thousand each way. If you are concerned just calibrate the stick but the fact that it does just over more isn't too bad

Very good landing, I was thinking: "isn't he loosing too much speed" but it was the right move given the narrow patch of "landable" grass. Very well performed!
Thanks yes it takes some getting use to finding the right flight envelope with the jets. They are very heavy and have a lot of drag. It's more about riding just above the stall using the throttle with this one

Yes just a couple of aluminum plates it's better for the formation stuff. Iv 3d printed a base for the air unit so it can sit underneath also. Therefore when it pings off it won't rip the camera off and it lifts the camera up again for formation view 😁
