thank you! I am a teacher and lots of my students struggle with lifting up in wheel, I think is both for a physical reason (weak arms/flexibility in wrists and shoulders) and both for... fear! which is totally understandable. This is a great way to support the physical & emotional resistence and progress to the pose. I'll try it in my next classes!!

Hello Anita, three years ago I found this video where you share your experience with herniated disk. I was well happy, sorry, because I have almost the same L4-L5 disk herniated diagnostic. Also with radiculopathy. I’ve been practicing yoga for 25 years but hurt myself with one of the poses. I’m doing well but once in a while I have to go back and do my stretches plus your videos to feel more centered. Are you still doing these stretches and how are you doing with the stenosis? Also, do you have any recommendations?Greetings from Albuquerque, New Mexico
Helll Teresa Lovely to hear from you. Funny you should write and ask I was thinking of doing an update video on my progress as I’m very proud of it and think it can help others. It’s such a challenging thing to deal with. Long story short: I am doing great. I practice yoga but I have also been doing a lot of strength training. I do the stretches I share in this series all the time. The thing is the spinal stenosis will never be cured only managed so it’s a matter of keeping the muscles of the entire core strong and the back muscles where the stenosis is not too strong. Consistency is key. What yoga pose made it worse for you? Do you have pain? Do you have stenosis with the herniated disk as well?

I did this practice in the backyard, under the sun in bikini . Double benefit: Fitness and Vit D. I noticed the volume on this video is very low for outdoor, but the flow is perfect for morning 30 min practice!

Thank you, thank you Anita! 🙏 This my approach too: I trust my body, even I discuss with her to help me, and work with me together. I have a mild PHT, a bit over streched while doing yoga, but I didn't realize when end which movement did it. I felt it just when forward bending. Luckily I immediately stopped streching and started strenght exercises and foam rolling. Now I can do yoga but in modified version. Funny enough that I go to India In February for a month, for Yoga Teacher Training.... 😳😳😳
