For resignings, I think you should sign Nesterov to a 3 or 4-year deal for 85% of his asking price (after the draft), Mann, Nabokov, Malkin, Barlow, and the expiring unsigned draft picks. For trades, I think you should trade Bolduc during the draft to free up money, as well as Blomdahl, Bishop, and one of Brule or Huberdeau. We currently have picks 33, 66, 67, 92, 97, 99, 165, 198, 199, and 224 in this draft. For the draft, I think you should trade up using some permutation of picks 66, 67, Blomdahl, Bolduc, and one of Brule or Huberdeau to 5 or 6 to draft Halvardsson, draft Endras at 33, draft Stoner at 92, draft Filppula at 97, draft Hendry at 99, trade up with your 5th round pick to about 152 to draft Kiprusoff, and trade the remaining picks for future picks. I don't think we need anything in free agency (outside of a 7th defenseman), because I think we can fill our needs internally. I think the lines could look like this next season: 1st F: Lafrenière-McIntyre-Valicevic 2nd F: Lucic-Perfetti-Rask 3rd F: Nesterov-Stenberg-Nazar 4th F: Langkow-Emelin-Ferguson Depth F: Nabokov or Olvecky 1st D: Hutson-Seider 2nd D: Erixon-Ramirez 3rd D: Ylonen-Mann Depth D: Free Agent G: Miikola-Zherdev Depth G: maybe whoever did not get traded between Brule and Huberdeau

Hi Data and D'Sora, I did not want to comment before I finish watching this live stream and therefore I come late with happy birthday wishes to Data. I can see you enjoy life, its great to have such a supportive fiancée and I hope everything goes well for you! I wish you do this full time one day and on the top of it, I would love to see the guys from EA coming over to you and ask what and how could be fixed and improved in the game. It was so nice to see Blues stream. Always when I see Blues uniform, just one name and one number comes to my mind, Pavol Demitra and his #38. And he is gone much too soon.....you know I have a good friend who played indoor football/soccer with him during 2004/2005 lockout season. Pavol played Slovak hockey league in Trenčín and he also played that local indoor football league just for fun and he was really good in it. My friend always spoke the nicest things about him, he always brought some tickets to them for the games and he was so much fun to be around. And did you know he had almost point per game record while playing for Blues. Nice memories, a little bit bitter, too... Honest and fair play approach is the best about the game of hockey. I love hockey and what I like the most are the stories you can tell after all those years. I wish you have yourself many of those positive ones in your real life, too. Best wishes from Slovakia :)

My 4th lines are only playing 3 to 4 minutes, and my first line is playing 26 minutes. When I watch the games, how do I fix it?

You just love to see this! What a run. Lucic and Stenberg deserves extra minutes. I might be tempted to put them on line 1 with a playmaker like Perfetti next year and have Laffy, McIntyre and Val on line 2 (McIntyre has often had killer production on line 2). Other option would be Val with McIntyre and Perfetti on line 1 and Laffy, Stenberg and Lucic on line 2. I'd keep Nazar as 3C who can get in the top 6 if we have injuries and he has a decent contract. 1 player I might look at moving if we need cap space would be Seider. His offensive production is quite low and he looks quite bad in slow sim; gives out the puck, bad covering, etc. We already have Erixon as our all star defensive dman, not sure we need Seider and we can most likely replace him with a cheaper option. I'd probably keep Bolduc over Seider because of the $. I'd explore the tradeblocks and see if there's a good dman on a friendlier contract and younger than Seider for whom we could trade him. This team still has what's needed to be contenders for years. Our biggest enemy right now is cap space. Lets run it back! Go 'Fleet!

Greetings, fellow bello. Jones, IMO, has earned the start, given his previous history. This season has not been kind to him via the slow slim. For me, he's on a short leash for the playoffs. Otherwise, I won't touch the lineup much. Everyone is healthy heading into the postseason. Let's just hope that the bottom six can support the top six fellas and for Jones to shake off a tough season.

Amazing guide! I have two questions if your or someone can help - I dont know if its NHL 24 bug or if its happening only to me - but for me the last round of scouting doesn't work - it never uncover anything. I make sure that the scouting end date is before draft, i see when days go by that the scouts are scouting the players and before the draft they all finish, but for some reason when i look at the players scouted in the last scouting round, nothing changes, nothing gets uncovered, literally nothing. They are same as after the previous scouting round. I think there is some kind of internal date in the game and if you are past that, the scouting doesnt work. I am not sure which date, but i think even maybe few weeks before draft or before play off end or something. And second question - can sometimes happen, that some regions have 0 prospects? I am in my second season and USA east and west have 0 players.

I'm happy that I was wrong about Owen Tippett, and Kravchenko has been a really nice surprise on the first pair. Hunter Jones' numbers are a little worrying but he's a playoff monster. I just hope the bottom 6 can hold it together. Excited for the next episode let's go Nucks!

Good season overall… It’s a shame that bottom 6 seems to be a black hole for anyone other than podkolzin. Not necessarily bad, just players not living up to there potential. Then again, even podkolzin was underwhelming. I wouldn’t change it though, after 50 wins it’s not yet worth fixing. Jones is a tough one. I would stick with him through the postseason, but be willing to rotate if he’s particularly poor. He has too good a history, even if his peak was a few years ago. I think we need to rely on the top 6 and first pair Dmen. We may not win it this year, but we do need to go deep. Go Canucks

Glad to see kravchenko doing well and I think we have patched up the defense enough to take us through the playoffs, but definitely something to consider in the postseason. I don’t line either of our goalie options honestly - I guess jones since he won the last game of the year? Thompson could also get a look in the top 6 if we are struggling to score. And don’t forget to bring my king bealieu into the lineup if you need some physical presence😉One last change I would recommend is putting Dobson on the second pp at least, maybe that contributed to his slower season offensively. Great individual seasons as well and it all came together for a fantastic regular season in the end. Now let’s see if we can break the curse of disappointing in the playoffs after a successful regular season. Rest up for the playoffs and I’ll see you at Rogers arena - go nucks!

Markstrom with a new franchise season-high record; Kravchenko and Hughes became BFFs; and Jones has lost his momentum. Speaking of goaltending…taking into account the top goalie stats of the season, I still lean Rainer to start the series. Let’s buy up all the umbrellas in Vegas and then make it 🌧️ and ⛈️ If we give Müller the first start, any performance below standing on his head would give Jones game 2. If we lean Jones, and despite the result then go back to Jones, does Jones just steer us through? If Rainer doesn’t get his shot, Jones may be our version of shooting ourselves in the foot. this is too late comment, but i have made monster rosters, witch are still under work, these might be so good even peopoles doen't regonize it, these are similar from vasy rosters, but i did everything myself, i have put too many hours for this.. unfortunately these are in newgen xbox... but when my work is done these gona be ridiculous.. i can say, i put too many hours doing these... i added every FA signings/trades.. i have created over 200+ players.. almost done adding every 1&2 round picks in correct teams. almost done with new 2025 draft, witch ofcourse happens now, in first year in draft.. i still might be wrong in some things these aren't perfect, put the effort i put in these are so huge.. it may still take a long time to complete.. but im working all the days working these.. just want to say someone who are avaible to use these.. to test them and give me info what i can chance to make it better.. and my english is bad, hopefully everyone understands.. sorry for this comment if it bothers anyone

Am I the only one who has had "phantom players" on their roster? This happened once to me on NHL 18 and is now happening again. In my franchise, I'm in the start of year two. My AHL team has multiple players, that when I go into roster moves, contracts, or trade, they disappear. But, when I'm on the edit lines page, they show up either as dressed or as scratched players. Has anyone experienced this?

Did you just create him or is there a Roster update with new prospects available?
