I've ridden Mountain Town maybe three times. We rode the climb the first time. Absolutely never again lol! I ride Penhoti and much of Pisgah by myself but this is a trail i wouldn't consider doing that....mainly because I'm not climbing that damn hill again lol. I hope you have a Garmin inReach or similar doing rides like this. Mad props and cheers! Very cool to see North Georgia trails getting some love.

I did Mountaintown loop about 20 years ago solo during the winter. There had been an ice storm a couple of weeks before. Lots of fallen trees on the single track section. Took me eight hours.

Cool. I did Bear Creek and Pinhoti 2 & 3 in July this year. Half of Bear Creek just felt like a narrow gravel road... and the singletrack was ultra worn and choppy... I wasn't super impressed. Beautiful scenery though. It got more fun when I just slowed down and looked around...

Just found your videos and was looking at your previous ones. I’ve broken each elbow in bike accidents. The first one was when I was around 25. I finally got it to straighten. My second was like 20 years later. It will never be straight. Hope your elbow healed well. Good thing you are young. From my experience your recovery should be okay when you’re young.

You running I 9's. Great video, I live 8 miles from Bear creek my hood. Before the Hemlock blight it was unreal. I have watched snow storms blow in and /hen try to ou ride them, we had to stop multiple times to try and get feelings in our hands, was so damp and cold...cheers

The difference/ more difficulty your experienced in climbing is because normally when you do the mullet conversion, you want to go down in the travel of the front fork least 10mm to offset the increased wheel size size of the 29er. Your setup's just a little more slack, so you can crush the DH a little harder! 🔥🥰🤘

This ride looks awesome!! I love the trails in Ellijay. You should come down to Columbus Georgia at Standing Boy Creek State Park! Miles and miles of flow trails, downhill gravity trails and jumplines for all skill levels! There is a CVA Sorba group ride on Sunday at 2PM and Tuesday at 6:30PM! We also have a women’s ride on Saturday at 10AM! We would love to have you!

That Bear climb is a beast. The overlook on Potato is amazing. Don't think there's another trail in the SE with so many cool creek crossings tho.

the edited out the beautiful creek crossings? bummer. also, i got ZERO cell service there and honestly, that is a concern you should have brought up as a lone biker, esp as a woman. if something were to happen, unless you have a satellite phone on you? - you'd be screwed.

When that happens to me. I take a few minutes and shake out the arms and drink some water. 5 min. Can make a difference

Bull lot is def sketchy. 15 mins and a couple miles up a dirt road with random hill billy houses/sheds scattered around, would not recommend after dark. Also, does Lace see you get ready to ride and get excited thinking she gets to go to? What does she do when you leave without her?

Controversial opinion but Long Branch is the best fastest green in North Georgia. I like to extend the climb past the connector up to the top of Green Mountain where it gets more gnarly and washed out.

How many L of space would you think you need for a 3 night trip? Spring, Colorado, not doing panniers, but want the aeroe system

I have an oval on my Bronson and I think it's the best upgrade for technical climbing. Especially good since our Bronsons a Mullets. My Bronson originally came with a 32t but the guys at Absolute Black recommended going with a 30t so that it could feel like a 28t.

The science is there and the gains are marginal, but I do feel it makes difference and I run an oval.

Thank you for your video. I just bought the 2022 stance 2. Im pretty excited to get back into mountain biking after playing D1 soccer for ten years. Now my coaches wont be scared of me hurting my self while mountain biking. 😅

Went out and rode this route last Saturday. Ended up like them so much I went and did it again on Sunday. Thanks for sharing this. I live just north of Atlanta and it's amazing finding so many good trails within an hour of my home.
