On my 114 M8, with the mini teardrop, I get oil drips from the breathers, with the original size teardrop there are no oil drips. I reakon with the mini teardrop element being exposed, the air inside the filter gets tossed around a fair bit, pulling the oil with it. With the classic full-size teardrop, the air is pulled from the rear near the heads. From the rear, the air is fed into the throttle body more smoothly, taking the oil mist with it instead of being tossed around all over the place. I have switched between the mini and classic on many rides and situations, and the classic is always clean inside, where the mini always has lots of oil inside.

Dude I figure it out!!! Alright, the latches do NOT close by slamming. Gently close the lid and press in on the locks down low on the latch. Literally just a thumb press and it clicks in every time. To open simply press in with the side of your index finger and down on the button with your thumb. You should be able to now open and close your case with a single hand a full arms lengthth away.... just picked up this bike and was bummed the latch was crap... found some instruction online and boom. No more problems, I fully love this case.

Commander 3’s on my bike have worse wet grip than 2’s. I didn’t have a wobble or vibration on 2’s but have them on 3’s

I just bought some Commander II cruisers for a Shadow VT750, I paid 141 for front and 181 for rear. I was going to get the Shinko 777 white walls or the Shinko 999's, but I read the Commander IIs last 3x longer. Kind of disappointed I can't get them in white wall. This is the most I've ever paid for two tires by a long stretch, so it's kind of painful, and I got to put them on myself... so yeah fun pinching tubes.

I have put all the pins back in, but I cannot push the white inner part back down to its original position. Anyone got any tips?

Why are mine hard as fuccck and I destroyed my hands and fingers pushing on the paper clip as hard as I can and still couldn’t get all the wires out some are just toooo stuck

Thank you for taking the time to put this video together. I agree that these boxes, all the mechanisms, and plastic parts suck. After many tries on my own and requesting help from the KTM dealer, I decided to sell my boxes ... no luck. I tried to then give my left and right side box away ... no takers ... trash. I still have the top box, and will clean accordingly, but fear its useful life is coming to an end for my 2016 1290 SA.

I can’t decide between drag special predator or saddlemen set up in the Diamond stitch they are only $25 difference i can get the predator with smooth cover for $375 is the saddlemen worth the extra bucks?

Put an McCruise on the CTX 1300 even the NC700x. They wrok just like an integrated OEM cruise.

How are your tubes holding up? I bought pro one gold tubes and yours are way more shinier. My guess is CCE TIN coated their “show chrome” tubes hence the very clear gold. Wish I got these. Their stock photos don’t help and this video really showed the beauty of them

Great video... which seat would you recommend for a taller rider (6' 2")? I was looking at the Saddleman, but maybe the lumber support pushes you forward a little which would end up making me feel a little cramped on my Street Bob (with mid-controls).
