jdarks.com/grateful-dead Here's a link to a chart that I use.. JDarks is a great resource for Grateful Dead charts.. As far as Tablature.. I couldn't find any that shows how I play it.. Remember, just focus on the root notes and practice playing with a lot of feeling.. This song has a great feel to it.. One of my favorites 😀 Also, keep it simple.. and play it several times a day.. that's how I started to be able to really play these songs.. Hope this helps! And thanks for reaching out.. Hey thanks! Ya that's a little trick where I will use the minor 3rd and the major 3rd.. Hammer on and back to the root.. also a quick slide up from the 4th back to the 3rd.. Kinda hard to explain while typing.. Essentially B-A-E.. I don't think too much in terms of major or minor.. I'm still trying to figure that stuff out! 😂

Quick question. This tune is similar to the “that’s what love will make me do” but you play the patterns differently. As in you got your hand in two positions on the other one when you could have kept it in one (like this one) Is that just a personal preference thing or how John Kahn plays it? Thanks.

Just a personal preference.. I always try and start playing just as John did.. At least in sound and feel.. And then, depending on how I'm feeling in the moment, I will stick to that form, or, if I'm feeling loose or just want to mess around with it.. I might modify a groove to make it more of my own.. I'm really trying to sound like John Kahn. But I also want to sound like myself as well.. Just trying to have fun! Hope this helps 🤙
