What background music is playing? Its so peaceful
Dude 3 minutes to get to the actual video….
@@msjoby89 well without it people like you will also take to the comments section to say whatever offended you or bothered you, so I try my best to acknowledge what I can to mitigate that- however there’s always a way to complain and you have found it. 😂
I can hear your mother heart wanting to school at home. Schooling at home can be super simple. My youngest of five wasn't schooled until grade two. I let him play with lego and be creative while I educated the older children. In grade three we started school with Eythan. By then end of the year he was caught up to his peers. We start children in education way too young when their brains need to be creative and they need lots of outdoor play.
Thank you for sharing your story! What hypnobirthing did you do for your first birth?
I used Kathryn Clark's tracks!
The mirroring part sounds redundant - until someone does it for you. 💡
Beautifully put. I felt this comment, 😌
Maybe the best aspect of this video was your response to Donovan’s interruptions. So inspiring. 🙏 Thank you.
I’ve probably watched a total of 20 videos on women speaking about their labor experience and even though they were positive this video is by far the most helpful and has given me the most peace of mind and has made me feel so empowered. Thank you so much for sharing 🤍
I'm a soon-to-be mom, and I'm trying to learn everything I can about different parenting styles. Thank you for laying out the basics of RIE parenting with examples! However, I'm uncertain about the point about people "objectifying" the baby if they want to touch or hold him. It seems to me that that's a natural instinct, and that it would help the baby learn interaction with lots of different people. Super early socialization, if you will. Lots of other animals pass their babies around, because the group takes care of the babies and looks after them, together. Isn't that natural? Also, that sometimes people DO touch you in social interactions, and it's not the end of the world. I'm obviously NOT talking about any kind of abusive touch here, but in the adult world, sometimes a new acquaintance will touch your arm when they're laughing, or go for a hug, and it's not their fault, and it would be MORE weird for you to say something about something so small. What about that? I'm not trying to poke you here, (no pun intended lol), just understand better.
Can't watch.😢
The background music is distracting.
This video made me cry!! So so beautiful!! Your words and encouragement so uplifting, motivating, pure, and powerful!! Thank you so so much for making this video!! I have it saved to watch in September when I’m due and again for any future babies I may have as a beautiful reminder!! Thank you!! 🙏🏻 ❤😍🥰
I'm on my fourth pregnancy and I've had a baby at 36, 37, and 41 weeks!
Thank you so much for sharing this vulnerable and beautiful story. I’m pregnant with my first and this made me feel so empowered and normal to want to have my baby at home. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
I’m pregnant with my first and always knew I would home birth. It has been so hard to find someone who showcases a TRUE home birthing experience… and a positive one. This was beautiful to watch, thank you for sharing such an intimate experience- this gives me so much confidence!
I’m not a parent nor am i married, but i’ve talked with my partner before about children and how many we want. My reasoning for wanting a minimum 4 year age gap is more so to be able to financially recover so that if and when they want to go to university i can support them equally
I am pregnant with my first and am planning an unmedicated home birth. its never something I thought I would ever consider... I always just assumed i would opt for a hospital and as many free drugs as I could get... but actually, now, being pregnant and speaking with my midwives and my doula... I believe I can do it. I am afraid, but excited about it. Your story and others are so encouraging!
Good job!!!! ❤❤❤❤
This video is very good, and I love your calm voice.
❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing your birth! I am due in September with my second baby. My first I had at home too, and I definitely experienced pain, and I didn’t have as much of a controlled birth experience as I wanted. Your video makes me feel even more excited to do it all again, and I will be using the same strategies you used. Surrender!! Thanks again 💕
God I remember, can't believe I have to go through this again haha
Thank you so much for showing us this. It was beautiful! I am a 69 year old widow. I cried so much. God gives us beautiful gifts from heaven. She is beautiful and your husband was so sweet during all of this. God Bless your family. Wish I could hold her. My kids are grown and I have 11 grandchildren all grown the youngest is 16. I wish you the best. Thank you so much. Love you videos.
Weird question, but where is your bralette from that you wore in labor? Most beautiful birth and what a great way to document this! So proud of you!
Talking to your baby in a high voice isn't "clown" It's actually been noted throughout child psychology that raising your voice with a child helps their learning. It also wouldn't be creating a "false reality" as most people are generally excited when they see babies and young children and just naturally are more tender and expressive with them.
It’s the inauthenticity piece that I’m referring to. Addressing my children as if they can’t understand me if I were to use my real voice and speak about real things. Of course I’m aware of “motherese” and also speak in a sweet, potentially higher tone with my kids from time to time. You missed the point :(
You’re story is beautiful. Your real footage was very helpful and reassuring for me. Thank you for sharing these precious moments.
This video has touched me so deeply. Thank you for sharing so vulnerably 💕 i cried along with you & your family 😁
Just beautiful!
Thank you for this video! What birthing pool did you use?
This is hands down my favourite birthing story and video. I’m gonna keep this in my back pocket to rewatch in a few months when it’s time for me (my first). Thank you so much for being vulnerable and open with sharing your story ❤
I absolutely love your videos. I am so so happy I came across your page!
I so needed this video! I just found out I’m pregnant and my daughter is 4. The baby is actually due on her 5th birthday. She is so so excited and already wants to help with the baby. I am so excited we decided to wait. Not only for my mental health, but for my older child as well. I was able to focus on just raising her for those 4 very very important years.❤
11:23- great advice, my mother in law bless her heart. She was so excited but would ask me every 10 minutes, are the contractions getting stronger, do you think you’re progressing yet. This went on and on. I would recommend only yourself and your husband. It sounds great to make it a family affair until the reality of the situation takes place. Thank you for sharing! ❤
I’m not embarrassed to say I cried. This was so beautiful. Thank you.
Thank you so much for sharing 💓
This is so encouraging, thank you 🙏🏽
I have a 13 month old and a 25 month old. In my experience, adding my youngest to the family was as smooth as can be, and at the moment people often mistake them as twins. They play together and look for each other when the other one is not around. My daughter (25 month old), took her brother with no jealousy at all. Maybe because she was so young when he was born- but she would go give him kisses, give him toys and was extremely nourishing and understanding of her baby brother despite the young age. So I’m not sure psychologically a close age gap is bad- quite the opposite in my experience. The two biggest drawbacks for me and hubby were sleep and finances (nursery prices in UK are astronomical even for one child, let alone two)- however we are slowly coming out of this phase. I do want to have a third one day though so it was interesting to hear the arguments for a longer age gap. Thanks for sharing! 😊
Thank you for sharing we want the same! I have a 9 month old ❤
Thank you so much for sharing this, such a touching experience to watch 😢🥺
Hi! I really enjoyed this video -- thank you for sharing such a vulnerable and beautiful birthing experience. I have a question: I understand baby needed some assistance in breathing. How did you provide that assistance? And why did you have to cut the umbilical cord sooner than you hoped? My understanding is that most babies will breathe immediately on their own upon birth, and sometimes not. Regardless, delayed cord clamping enables them to continue receiving oxygen from the placenta (should it still be attached to the uterus). If baby breathes immediately at birth (usually within ten seconds), the umbilical cord is still providing the baby oxygen and nutrients until that blood flow has stopped. Does this describe your experience?
Idk why I'm watching cuz I'm planning either not to have more kids or have another one in my late 30's when my kid is already an adult.
This is beautiful so inspiring thank you for this upload
I’ve had two home births so far and am open to as many children as the Lord gives us ❤ congrats!
My sons are 5 years apart and it has been nothing but an absolute joy. The calm I feel is amazing. The help I get from my older son with his little brother is so sweet and gentle. My sister and I are 8 years apart and we are best friends. I loved taking care of her when I was little and being goofy with her.
Thank you for this.
Thankyou so much for sharing your experience. You are so so beautiful inside and out. You have such a sweet and kind nature and i loved your video. I am pregnant for the first time and my fiancé and i are preparing for a home birth. Iv had a few people try to talk me out of it and say 'especially because its your first'... im like what difference does it make if its your first or 3rd or 10th?? Would love an opinion. I trust my body and my baby and i really want to go through it at home. THANKYOU!! <3
ps - i balled at the end. haha your amazing!!
Great video...I wish my last pregnancy could have been so informed. Fear can come from not having knowledge of what is happening with the stages of labor. Knowledge is power. Great video you contributed for future mom's to be !
You were primal 😊😂
Love the pizza and disco 😂👌🏽
I love this video!!! It is so encouraging and positive! I almost cried when she was born and put on your chest! I’m prepping for my third baby. My first two were unmedicated. I’m watching a lot of positive birth stories and this one really just hit home! Thanks!!!
You are a true embodiment of courage and nurturing. I hope one day to be blessed enough to have a birth like this and to show up as powerfully and mindfully as you did. Thank you for setting such a beautiful example.
When i was in labor with my son (28hrs) my husbands WHOLE family, uncles, aunts, everyone came. I was alsleep, resting and got qoke up by his uncles booming laughter and honestly...i was so incomfortable because i didnt evem know they were all in there 😮 and my nurse could tell i didnt apreciate all thw men in his family in the room. So she was lik okay its timw yo do a cerbical check everyone has to leave. 😅 and i told her while my husband was gone not to let thwm back in 😂 his mom cried and he even yelled at me over it N i td okay wrll i can make you leave to if youd like.
yes, good on you! The lack of boundaries is honestly just SO bizarre to me when it comes to BIRTH. Like, how are people actually offended that you might want to be ALONE? 😂
