Nails? I only know what you you are showing me, But Id be looking at the metallurgy of the nails, not pure iron fer sur, if they were nails would rust immediately, so, they are an alloy, probably not hard to find out asme or asi specs on the nails

TLDR: No unless A) you just want to have fun and experiment or B) your from Nibiru and you need every gram of gold possible to fix your atmosphere.

I wish this guy actually knew what he was doing instead of guessing and trying to recover from his mistakes. I believe there are courses to teach the proper methods of recovery.

MY Dad was interested and we spent time on the American River California south of where the original discovery was at Sutter's Mill. We panned and sluiced up river over several weekends and consistently found some very rough but very small gold, as we went further North we noticed that the gold stopped. There were steep canyon walls and they were covered with very thick brush. My Dad was a very tough guy and he determined that the gold was coming off that cliff side so he climbed up it with a great deal of difficulty, has scratches all over him. He found an oval outcrop that had smooth river rocks and took a bucket which he passed down to me on a rope. After we filled 6 buckets he climbed down and we took the buckets and ran them through the sluice box, we recovered nearly 2 oz -not troy oz but US oz and along with the other gold we had found sold it for 45$, that was 1958 so today the same would be about $4000. His job had us constantly on the move so we ]never went back but he always talked about it. He and Mpm passed the the late 1990's. I miss the terribly and always will.
