  • Join Jason in the latest episode of "Opening My Gold Mine!" as he delves into the process of recovering gold from the ore he diligently mined throughout the summer!
In this video, the focus is on unlocking the secrets hidden within the ore. Jason begins by meticulously searching for gold in quartz specimens-geologic wonders that not only carry significant gold value but also showcase the unique beauty of the earth's treasures.
The journey continues as Jason takes us to his rock shop, where raw gold quartz ore is transformed into stunning standups, slabs, and bookends. These carefully crafted pieces are not only captivating geologic displays but also available for purchase on his eBay page, supporting the ongoing mining endeavors: www.ebay.com/usr/mtbakerminin...
The heart of the video lies in the ore processing. Jason gets to work crushing and grinding the ore into a fine powder, liberating the gold from its host rock. The intricacies of gold recovery unfold as he pans the concentrated ore, revealing the gleaming results of his summer-long mining efforts.
But that's not all-Jason needs your help to name a remarkable rock! Head over to the community page to cast your vote and be part of the naming process for this unique piece of ore:

I'd rather see him crush it up himself and get the gold out of it. But if it people want to buy it. I don't see why not.
He might even make a loss on it if some of the bags are very rich.

I would like to see a large sample crushed and processed . A Gold mine is a BUSINESS, an interesting business. Jason is allowing us to see how that business is carried out. In the process he has gained loyal subscribers. In the final analysis the object of any business is to make money. I would like to say that the VAST majority of Jason's subscribers would just LOVE to see Jason make a LUCKY STRIKE and and bring a PILE of gold out of that mine. Lord knows that Jason would deserve that reward for his lifestyle of HARD WORK!!!!! as for the naysayers, they're just jealous. but they fail to comprehend that Jason works his freaking tail off. Any money Jason gets, he richly deserves.

He brings (via his YT channel) a vicarious experience in hard rock mining. That he provides ore samples, unsearched bags of pay dirt, high grade gold samples and attractive sawn samples is the response of a good purveyor of superb customer service to his audience. Doing so at a profit is a match to those who took on risk, wagered on the unproven ground that echoes those who have gone before - generations of prospectors.

I hope the u-Tubers are willing to pay a lot more than the value of the gold in what you were able to get out of that Mine. Kind of reminds me of the Pet Rock fad. Best wishes for your enterprise.

Have you ever gone to Alaska? I lived there for 25yrs and my 2nd wife's Dad had 9 40 acre claims. The claims were mining areas from the late 1800's. He just mined the tailings from the old mines. We had a 1950 Oliver tractor with mechanical dump an 8 foot grizzly and a 20ft sluce. We ran 2 4" pumps. I spent a couple weeks with him and learned alot. We got mostly little nuggets. I took my metal detector and ran it around one afternoon and found a nugget the size of the tip of your baby finger. Great fun unfortunately He died the 3rd year I was married and his daughter divorced 2 years after that. I took 2 buckets home from the slice and pulled out just shy of 1 and half Oz. I'm retired now but have friends up there and they spend the summers mining and do pretty good 👍 Your videos sure bring back the fever 😊

I thought no one is to say crap like that to you, you had been posting interesting content for years! And if you wanted to, you could not complicate your life with vids, and just pretty much mine the mine, and be as happy as you are with yourself without us... so the option given to us, as well as being physically included with the mine, is either to be happy, that you share, or not to comment at all. Loving it, never, pls, stop with the vids..! To all of haters, have a nice day.

Jason, I can never say this enough. You have a mine full of gold! All these videos I have watched, this is an exception to the rule. So happy for you. These slabs show that you are on a jackpot. I hope all other prospectors, like Dan and Harry, find the same thing! Unbelievable.
I guess I missed hearing about the naming of the skabs, and now the vote. When you cut and showed the very first stand alone slab, the name popping into my head was "Golden Godess." Maybe you will have another slab that could be named that. However, the names to choose from is do very fitting and I can't wait to see what everyone votes on! It will be awesome 😎
The gold bead was so bright yellow, would you consider that as 22 or 24 k? It was so reflective, that for a split second, you could see the reflection of the camera. At least that is what my eyes saw....
As always, thank you for sharing your gold ore with us! It is amazing to see the specimens, slabs and smelting process. Save up all your energy over the winter months. You're really going to need it! Blessings from Alabama ❤️

You are killing it! It's so nice seeing Baker, Shuksan, and occasionally the Sisters in your landscape shots. I miss them.
My only two cents for your channel moving forward:
    *As a largely audio listener*
Maybe pick some instrumental you like (don't care what genre, that's your call!) to play over your mining/drilling/general labor time lapses?
I love having you on in the headphones while working and every now and then I get confused by a silence and then rapid mining noises DiResta Style.
    Again, just my two cents!

You're right Jason, the world's universal system of measurement is the metric system and it's better than the US customary units of measurement? Why does the US have to be different from the rest of the world when it comes to the metric system? Well it may be better, but it just doesn't come naturally for an American thinker. Love your gold, precious metal's and the mineralogy education you're always teaching us, Jason. ThankQ Jason for the entertainment and educational experience your videos present for us. Hey Jason, I finished processing the first 9 lbs of ore from the 25 lb sample. I screened everything to 1/2 minus, then screened to 10 mesh. Everything bigger than 10 mesh, I ran through the chain mill. I must say I was very surprised at the size of some of the gold. Very nice pickers in the pan! I will try to post a picture. looking forward to crushing the rest! Thank you 😊. All the best in your mining endeavors. Tom

Hey, Jason. I bought one of your bags of material from your mine on ebay. Wanted to publicly say I'm satisfied with the purchase. I haven't been able to do anything with it yet because shortly after it arrived, I tore my lower biceps tendon and so it will have to sit on the shelf for some time before I can process it. I did, however, pull one rock out of the bag and wash it in my gold pan and am pleased to say that there was fly poop in the dust on that particular piece. So yeah, I'm happy.😊

Nice ore! Looks like a great mine! Love seeing it coming out of the cascades, used to do some hjnting and fishing being born in Seattle and raised in Tumwater. I recall panning in a credk that flows from the top of tumwater hill. We found no shiney but after a bunch of years near Coloma , Ca. I found a bit of shiney! I love seeing you doing the mine. Ive also played at a tiny bit of prospecting near Daloniga, Ga.

Curious if the product values you talk about are good enough to sustain the mine as a "producing mine" or if it's just not worth the legal effort and it's better to ship out the ore to people to have fun with and pan/crush/process on their own? Either way, love watching the journey

I’m just happy to know what you’re planning now. I won’t be disappointed when I see a title like that and only see 15lbs processed. You have to pay for the mine and everyone can get behind that. We just know from this point on expect the video about the mine to point to the eBay store at some point.
