You mentioned Warframe was using the native installer. Can you show how you do that in Steam? I can never get games to work in Steam through Crossover with native installers. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Is there any chance to run DOOM Eternal on crossover with new game porting tool ?

I've tried doing the processes from installing Sequoia beta, crossover 24.0.4 (bc that is the trial available right now), GPTK2 patches, yakuza like a dragon, the hex fix, etc and unfortunately wine states there is "a serious problem and needs to close" with yakuza (page fault on write access to <hexcode> in 64 bit code).. it's late and im tired, so im letting it go for the day, but yeah it doesn't work flawlessly apparently. It's possible I did this wrong, but I did all the prerequisite steps from the show notes, three times. I spent four hours doing it over again. Will revisit this again.

Idk maybe they just need to be a little patient and release a larger variety of games before they call it a failure 😂

Does CS2 works well with crossover?

I've been bombarded with a lot of info about the swap memory issue and the concern that it could damage your SSD. Is that true? I mean I get the part that due to physical limitations, our Mac is forced to use the internal storage by constantly deleting and rewriting files, but how often does this actually happen? Is it really doing it so frequently that it's something we need to worry about? I think this is a pretty important topic to discuss, especially since probably around 80% of Mac users have the base model, so this could have a significant long-term impact.

Thanks for always posting great videos Andrew! I'm curious -- do you own Age of Empires IV? I know this game requires AVX to run and previously I haven't been able to run it with crossover. I wish I knew if it worked now with the new game porting toolkit 2 now that AVX is supported. 🙂

If you're just looking to run Minecraft Bedrock on Mac there's a launcher that emulates the Android version of Bedrock and runs very well. It's made for both Linux and Mac and runs really great on my M3 MacBook Pro. It uses Bluestacks if I'm not mistaken and all you need is to have purchased the Android version of Minecraft on the Google Play Store and then you just log into your Google account when you open the launcher and you'll be able to download the latest version of the game. Super easy to set up and runs probably better than the Windows version since Android is more efficient (to emulate).

apple should've put all these games in Apple Arcade as exclusive, which would not only make the games more affordable to play to users, but also makes Arcade more appealing to subscribe to. and then on steam too for purchase.

Hi I have followed the steps and the game is working like urs, but there is one issue, when I switch the gun the screen gets blurry and for some weapons its clear. Plz help :) Edit: Now the blury thing with the gun is gone after I played with that gun 4-5 matches, but the FPS is very low Im on M1 mac 2021

If I was at the healm of Valve, I’d build this straight into steam… boom suddenly you have a whole new audience with fairly deep pockets to buy some of your games that already work on mac fairly well. tried to install OLD Heroes Of Might and Magic 3 from GOG on my Air M3, and even that old games don't work on new 23.xx Crossover. This software is bullshit. Ofcourse Crossover says that its should work excellent, however users on redit have the same issues - game docent start. If that old and simple games don't want to start - there is no point to install Diablo 4 or 2 Resurrected

I tryed crossover the felling it’s lagy, laptops becomes hot, my old hp550 can handle better a game like nfsu or most wanted even if lower settings, like just got in police chase game became from chunky, wtf my 2gb laptop with old integrated & sata 2 old hard can play for hours, not saying mac keyboard sucks for gaming, apple👎🏼
