Good call... it is found in our area of southern Oregon 👍👊 @SkovianGoesOutdoors , take it by Crater Rock Museum off of HWY 99 in C.P. they can help you identify most any rock, for free most often....

@@a3skywarrior929 I found a few pictures that looked slightly similar, but it was only the basalt pieces. The prophyridic rocks seemed to be a conglomerate of different rocks that formed together

Good guess, the remints of Mt. Mazama, now called Crater Lake from the caldera left from it. The fallout covers much of the Rouge River Valley and also much of Southern Oregon, northern California. ... 👍👊

@SkovianGoesOutdoors first thought was basalt because I have found one on the volcano Mount Etna in Sicily, but yours broke smooth. Just got back into Geology since hitting history...human anatomy...then entomology (beekeeper)from the early 90s. Glad to be getting back to my childhood love of rocks...I never lick them...unless no one is looking 🫡

@grond21 the very last picture was the gold I found that day. The gold that was getting sucked up in the snuffer bottle was one pan

It's the XP classifier. Instead of square holes, it has rhombus shaped holes. I've never had a rock get stuck it it. I would definitely recommend the XP pan and classifier.

@@SkovianGoesOutdoors thank you, I might just try one of them, as for pans, have you tried Sluice Fox??? Ireally like thier med n large pans thier sluice box is awesome, I bought them for all 4 grandkids and use a pair linked together myself..

@wesblood3620 I don't believe I've ever heard of any rules up there that would stop you. Along as you are allowed to dig in the water, I would expect it to be legal (maby not the yabby pump, but the broom and dust pan)

I bring a shop vaccume with me every once in a while, I haven't used in in a few weeks, I should probably bring it with me next trip
