Boss I'm not doubting you about the chemicals in the rain one bit, but theres something you might have missed. Your outdoor beds are mulched and sometimes the microbes in the soil will tie up nutrients for a bit while the soil is trying to compost all that material. So the nitrogen isn't available to the plants. Another thing to check into is do a pH test on those beds. I found out my garden beds were to alkaline from the leaves and wood ash we had been using to amend the beds. Plants were alive but not really growing until i started adding the soil acidifier. Then they took off! I also switched to pine shavings ( yep chicken bedding) for my mulch because it breaks down fast and it acidifies the soil at the same time.

Appreciate the updates, Boss......we too, are having ridiculously better results growing indoors vs out.

My best guess after gardening for 44 yrs is that anything with a cover over it like your greenhouse is a micro climate. It has been said by Eliot Coleman that it's like moving your garden a zone and a half south. Plus the fact you had a insulated sweat shirt on tells me it must be chilly in the morning or at nght. I bet the temperature in your greenhouse at night is a lot warmer than outside of it. I wish I could wear a jacket here on Delmarva but I'd die from heat exhaustion. No problems here with what you are talking about with the trees or chem rain. I just wish it would rain. It's so dry the catfish have ticks on them. Have a good summer, and hope your garden perks up. Getting a lot of tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, and string beans right now.

Hi Boss! Your outside garden is doing better than ours. This will be the last year to plant cucumbers from seed directly in the garden. They'll be started inside and put out as transplants. Non grew this year. Our yellow beans look awful. Tomatoes are starting to look good though. You seem to always have a great greenhouse garden.

We wanted you know how much your videos mean to us. I purchased this rural small farm from my Mothers parents. They were very faithful, honest, hard working couple. My wife and I both had professional occupations. We have maintained a counter cultural simple life style. Our children were raised to be much like the two us. We are in the process of building a cabin here on the farm. It isn’t for us but for our children and grandchildren. A place of refuge. Mostly all off grid. We have always an Irish wood cook stove to heat our home. Ordered a Kitchen Queen for the cabin. Thank you for the hard work ethic and inspiration. It has been a real joy watching you and your wife these many years. You two have made a real difference in many lives.

I guess my first observation would be the amount of UV the tarp is subjected to. Yours is in the bush and that helps. I bought my Shelterlogic in 2004 and it was setup in full sunlight. My Fergie (Massey Ferguson) is absolutely indispensable. I would sell everything else including my trucks but no way fergie goes. I wish i had that sand. We dig 2 feet of clay and we are onto pure solid Canadian Shield. Good to build a house on, bad for controlling water.

We have been offgrid for about 2.5 years now without refrigeration. My wife works at the local grocery store so we just buy refrigerated food daily but I think its almost time to change. Propane freezers are way way overpriced in Canada and almost always need repairs. I really appreciate your videos as we continue to build our house and setup our gardens and infrastructure. Chickens coming next year along with greenhouse. Im also dealing with several health issues and may need to go back to work for enough money to finish our home, get medical coverage and afford gasoline, diesel, food. Again thank you for your content. It really helps on the rainy days.

Been watching them spray since about 1998. At work back then we used to watch the skies while working on a road crew all day outside and saw them everywhere. And that is about the time they started enunciating "global warming" and now look at us!!!

I live in N. Georgia. I don't leave home much but about once every two weeks.A few weeks ago I went out and the pine trees within the area we drove looked fine. Last week we went out and they were almost dead. Every where I looked I was seeing dead or dying pines. It broke my heart. I assumed it was maybe insect damage at first. We are also in need of rain. Has not rained in weeks with temps close to 100°. Now I am wondering about the cause. We have lots of chem trails here usually but have not had any lately.
