Could an AI model determine the key from cipher text if some of that cipher text had a known value? Sure, but in practice that is a lot of ifs and if keys are rapidly cycled that capability is little more than a parlor trick in practice.

I had to hate comment. WHY is GHIBLI being used in this “example”- ACTUAL GHIBLI frames from ghibli films- if you put those into a gan and its the INPUT / Training samples, then it literally isnt doing anything but giving you the exact footage back (with more busted blurry artifacts) Every single example that was non-existing source imgs looked worse. The VO goes “omg it looks pretty good yall” NO- it didnt- still looked really bad. The guy slaps a pencil filter on existing anime clips and then says “lol look the image is colored now”. Again, if you put in footage and use the exact frames as sample source- you get that SAME source back. The gan/algo, again, isnt doing anything special This video is gaining a lot of traction and as an artist and animator the amount of misleading info, double-speak and “1trick pony-isms” are enough to smooth out the wrinkles in my brain This is literally, as Miyazaki said, and insult to life itself- but this video is also a total insult to my (very little) intelligence. The weird thing is that purists will say, "I'm not watching that AI crap" but I think this is for everyone's benefit. This can ease up the work of animators. That's the purpose of AI, help us, not replace us.

This is honestly off putting. Not only is this going to cause people to lose their jobs since the employers will be able to have an insult like AI do the work and NOT have to pay them anything at all. But it's basically removing the heart and soul from the work. 3D, 2D, Stick figures, whatever, it all has heart put into it, that's what makes it Art. AI is...well, it lacks that and thus lacks the means to make these things shine. Sure, it'll get the work done faster by about 5 seconds. But it's just not the same.

I think AI like this would be extremely useful for tedious animation like fire and snow and water, things like that take a lot of time to animate and having AI do the grunt work and be used as a tool would be great but doing all the animation would not be good generally because of how things move like the horse at least right now.

This sounds really damn good. But I have to say I think if I were to use this personally, it would feel a bit unsatisfying. The same feeling you get when you make a track that you like but then realize that all the parts you like are just loops from Splice and you didn't really make any of it yourself. It's a very hollow feeling.
