It's not a shuriken. It's a broach. A five-petaled flower. Is it the most macho thing in the world? No, it isn't. But there's no reason to get all insecure and call it a "manly flying knife" or some such nonsense. Broaches are fine. For women. Besides, "real" shuriken are actually stupid, and this thing is less threatening than a baseball.
