Registrace 31. 12. 2021
Hello! This is a railfan channel located in the South Eastern part of Wisconsin, hence the name SE Wisconsin Railfan. Most of the videos are CN, Wisconsin Southern, and every now and then CP or UP, and even Amtrak. I try to upload Monday-Friday, and occasionally the weekends, between 3, and 3:30. Hope you all enjoy!
T4 Through Sussex w/ JLTV Loads
WAMX 6030, and WAMX 6028 lead T4 south, down the CN Waukesha Sub. This was filmed on Good Hope Road, in Sussex, WI. Well, I had barely any time to get ready for this guy. I walked down to the crossing, and then his headlights came around the curve. I set the tripod down, and hoped it would look good, and it did! It was the reliable T4, running with just a duo of SD60M's this time. No extra units this time. 6030 is still looking pretty rough, but it's still a SD60M. for 2 units, this was a fairly large train, even with another big cut of brand new Oshkosh Truck JLTV's! It's always nice to see these movements.

Former CREX Leads M347
zhlédnutí 110Před 22 hodinami
CN 2754, and running as mid-train DPU is CN 2815, lead M347 north, up the CN Waukesha Sub. This was filmed on Scenic Road in Polk, WI. I saw a NB on ATCS, and I was right here so I decided to catch it. I was expecting the usual, CN GEVO's, and that's what it was. However the leader was a former CREX! With more and more of these getting PTC, seeing these leading will soon be rather common. I lik...

zhlédnutí 267Před dnem
WAMX 6025, WAMX 4173, WAMX 4219, WAMX 4171, and WAMX 3891 lead the T4 south, down the CN's Waukesha Subdivision. This was filmed on Bark Lake Road, just south of Hubertus, WI. I was hoping this T4 would have 4173 leading the T3 north the light before, and lately they have been wying the power. 6025 has PTC though, so there wasn't a reason to wye it. The leader was still interesting, it was 6025...
Classic CN Duo In A Thunderstorm!
zhlédnutí 310Před dnem
CN 5713, and CN 2504 lead a stack train north, through Duplainville, WI. This was filmed near Weyer, Road, on CN's Waukesha Sub. Well, this was certainly a weird day. It was sunny a few hours prior, and then it just stared pouring rain. I had some errands to run, and afterwards I noticed a bunch of train sitting around Duplainville. There was some type of signal problem, that had 8 NB's backed ...
Wisconsin Central HU Leads U763
zhlédnutí 113Před dnem
CN 3069, CN 2202, CN 3804, and running on the rear is CN 2837, lead U763 north, up CN's Waukesha Subdivision. This was filmed at Scenic Road, in Polk, WI. Man, it's already June again, where did time go... Anyways, I got word that CN 3069 was leading a train, heading my way. I decided to go to one of my over-used spots, Scenic Road! It was nice to see 3069 again, and I got a much better shot th...
KCS 4006 Leads 249!
zhlédnutí 255Před dnem
KCS 4006, CSX 5452, and BNSF 8425 lead CPKC 249 west, through Brookfield, WI. This was filmed on Brookfield Road, on the CPKC Watertown Sub. While you barely get a look at it, UP 6413 and UP 8053 lead a tanker train, on the other track. Both trains hit the pavement at the same time, but I didn't catch that. The UP duo was nice, but my main focus here was KCS 4006! Despite what many will say, 40...

WAMX 6024, WAMX 6029, WAMX 6026, WAMX 6028, WAMX 4171, and WAMX 3891 lead the T4 south, down the CN Waukesha Subdivision. This was filmed on Hillside Road, in Ackerville, WI. Like always, it was nice to catch the T4, yet again. I had to wait for a couple of CN's to past, and all of them had the usual GEVO's. Once they past, this guy got lights onto the CN, and eventually came. The T4 always bri...
Foggy Freight Through Pewaukee

CN 3832, KCSM 4675, CP 5108, and KCS 4113, and running in the middle is BNSF 9953 (H2 SD70MAC) haul 247 west, through Pewaukee, WI. This was filmed on Wisconsin Avenue on CPKC's Watertown Sub. It was nice to see another CP. I haven't caught much lately, due to this line not being convenient for me whatsoever. It was foggy, and I wanted to catch something, and CP was the only line with a train! ...
Tankers Past Rugby

CN 3030, and running as the rear DPU is CN 2792, lead a tanker train north, up CN's Waukesha Sub. This was filmed on Scenic Road, in Polk, WI. This wasn't an exciting catch at all. Leading was an ET44 with a former CREX on the tail. Pretty boring power. I will say, I have been getting lots of CREX's lately, which is something I'm not complaining about! I like these units, it's something differe...
Veterans Unit Leads M340!
zhlédnutí 172Před 14 dny
Happy Memorial Day, everyone! CN 3233 and CN 3933 lead M340 south, out of the siding in Duplainville, WI. This was filmed on Green Road. Well, I thought this would be fitting for Memorial Day for obvious reasons. Leading was CN 3233, CN's Veterans Unit! It was a little dirty, but it still looks good! It had an interesting RL K5HL, and it was loud! Trailing was a dirty CREX as well. The sun disa...
Military Train Through Merton!

UP 8255, and shoving on the rear is NS 1054, lead SMCSH-23 east, on the UP Adams Sub. This was filmed on Camp Whitcomb Road, in Merton, WI. The Adams Sub has been on fire for me lately! I've been catching a whole bunch of goodies on it. I got word that a loaded military train was coming my way, and I opted to catch it. I showed up here, and waited 20-3- minutes, and it came! Leading was a prett...

CN 2959, CN 3834, and chuggin' away on the rear is CN 3926, lead B790 south, down the CN Waukesha Subdivision. This was filmed on Green Road, in Duplainville, WI. I showed up here, and saw this train was just getting ready to depart. It took him a while to actually get rolling, but he eventually got up to speed. Leading was the usual GEVO, with the usual RL K5HL. Trailing was yet another, and a...

WAMX 3891, WAMX 6031, WAMX 6024, and WAMX 6028 lead the T4 south, down the CN Waukesha Sub. This was filmed on Green Road, in Duplainville, WI. T4 is always nice to catch, and I found out it had a GP38 leading today, so I opted to catch it. I was all set up on the other side of the road, and then it got really windy. I ran down here to hide behind some things, and it worked great. The video was...
Big MCHAL Through West Allis

UP 6946, UP 7965, NS 8072, and NS 4760 lead a huge MCHAL west, through West Allis, WI. This was filmed on 68th Street, on UP's Milwaukee Sub. This is a bit of an older video. It's from 12/3/23, but it's taking up some space, hence why I'm uploading it. It was great to see a UP, and this train had some goodies! Leading was a fresh and clean AC6000! I even got a horn salute, which was appreciated...

This was filmed in North Lake, WI. I went out in hopes of catching a empty military train. Once I got here, I found out that I missed the train by 45 minutes. I stayed here knowing something was coming. I was not expecting the...

Nice catch and shot SE!
Nice catch
Nice.
Decent power first love the second half of the train 60 empty Center beams
Yea, I've learned to stand back from this train. The wind those center beams cause is crazy!
Nice catch and light SE! Nice catch of the HU! We missed it down here
Thanks! That sucks, but I'm sure it'll come back south. It's a GEVO, it'll be around for a long time!
Nice catch and duo SE!
Thanks!
Very nice video, likes from me!!!
Sounded like the pusher was doing most of the work.
Excellent catch! Equipment is from 32nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team; Wisconsin Army National Guard Headquartered @ Camp Williams, WI heading to Joint Readiness Training Center - Training Rotation #24-08 @ Camp Johnson, LA.
Thanks for all of that!
Lashup🚂🤯🔥🫵🏼1️⃣
Nice catch of this meet! Had no idea KCS had a unit that honors veterans! Lol. First time you were at Brookfield road in a while too. I managed to barely catch a meet on this line back in September of last year. It was on the Calhoun road crossings. Next crossings east of this one. Not gonna lie, they are a nice spot to catch a meet since they are separate crossings, you get more signals flashing which is a bit more interesting IMO.
Awesome lashup
Indeed!
About 130 cars. That's a good car count for a Regional Road
Sure is. One of the biggest trains I've caught on the WSOR.
That sure was a mega train with quite a mix of power. I guess that was over 2 mi long. Murky enough to make a difference but stilll visible enough to watch. Also no thousands of pedestrians that Pewaukee is famous for during the summer
I don't know the exact length, but it was a monster. That's a bonus of cold days in Pewaukee, no people at the beach!
Interesting set of power with quite the variety of cars in the consist. It's funny when you look at it you can see cars from Sault Ste Marie some from off the E&LS and tben Waupaca. Glad you were there to catch this one
Yea, I've seen a whole bunch of weird cars. I can't tell where they all come from though...
Nice catch
Thanks!
Nice catch! I like how this one has just one loco in the front and the other in the back. Reminds me of some Metrolink passenger trains. I was in frame park in Waukesha and caught 3 trains passing Moreland Blvd and White Rock Ave, plus briefly one on Main #1 of the Watertown sub. Man was I on a roll today!
Thanks! Waukesha can be pretty busy at times. The traffic after every train can be crazy sometimes, especially during rush-hour!
@@SEWisconsinRailfan definitely got a taste of Waukesha's traffic today lol!
Good video. Happy Memorial Day.
Thank you!
Nice catch! Perfect loco for memorial day! Reminds me of the CSX armed forces loco. I was at the parade in Elm Grove at the Watertown plank road crossing. I was hoping to catch a train splitting the parade in half. Lol. I had to leave about 3/4 the way through though. And as me and my parents were biking back, I could hear the engine of a train a little further away. I was certainly annoyed as heck knowing if I had just stayed a little longer, I would have caught it! Way to have the worst luck ever. (Though that train could have been from the UP Milwaukee sub for all I know) Any how, still a fun day. Happy memorial day!
Interesting story! I'm pretty sure that train would've been CP. UP is a little ways away. In regards with this unit, it's fitting for this day. I caught it roughly 2 weeks ago, and have been waiting till this day to upload it!
Good catch. LMTVs, FMTVs, and HEMTTs
Thanks! I have the names, now I gotta figure out what is what! I'm no military expert...
@@SEWisconsinRailfan FMTV - Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles, a blanket name for a ll of the variations of severe-duty, military trucks that can be configured to do different jobs. LMTV Light Medium Tactical Vehicle - a 2.5-ton payload capacity platform, MTV Medium tactical Vehicle - a 5 ton payload capacity The largest trucks on the train were HEMTT, Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck These can be configured to do different jobs as well. Rugged, off-road capable, and can haul very heavy payloads.
Good video.
Thanks!
Nice lashup.
Thanks!
👍
Nice catch of the 6000 rebuild leader!
Thanks!
Serving probably the only ethanol plant that has rail connections that doesn't use it
I like how you film a train. No time skips no camera rotations, just put the camera on the train and it roll on by.
Thanks! Some people like what I do, others don't.
Great video
Thanks!
Awesome video! Did you see the OCS from that day as well?
I did not... I left my house pretty late, an missed him by a minute or two.
@@SEWisconsinRailfan dang. Well I was able to get him in Friesland
Did you ever catch this train? He was rolling at this speed for a while!
Nice catch! Judging by the bell-less signals and that your in duplainville, I could immediately tell you were at the springdale road crossing lol. Nice spot for a change from the Duplainville road crossing. Also like the P3 horn on the leader. Used to see those alot on SOO SD-40's
Thanks! You sure know this area pretty well. I moved to this road because Duplainville was packed! The P3 was a nice, I'm not old enough to remember them on Soo units though!
@@SEWisconsinRailfan Thanks! Ya, it helps when you live nearby the watertown sub and have been by and are familiar with majority of the crossings on it since you were a kid. Ya there were Soo SD-40's with P3's. Used to see them alot pulling short freight trains. They are more than likely repainted into the CP livery by now though.
Great video to hear.Don't know why i like the sounds of freight trains so much(white noise?) but this was a good one Thanks.......Steve
I love the sound of them as their coming towards you. Distant trains sound awesome as well. Who needs a therapist when you have trains!
Good video.
Thanks!
This is 730. When 246 fills out on autoracks or enough empties build up in Cottage Grove, they originate a 730.
Thanks for the correct symbol, and info!
Good video.
Thanks!
Amazing 😍
This is actually Menomonee Falls. Sussex is further west.
You might've been mistaken by somewhere else, but this was HWY 164, in Sussex. I forgot to add the description, with the location.
@@SEWisconsinRailfan Sure enough, I thought it was Lilly Road.
Wow Amazing I m ur new friend please pray for me n support me fully visit my side
Cool catch 😎

Very nice 👍🏻
Good video.
Thanks!
Nice catch! Love the shiny paint job on the leader. Also cool that the friendly engineer gave ya a horn show there!
Thanks. Wisconsin Southern keeps there units relatively clean (unlike CP...). I always appreciate little horn shows. The guys on this train are usually pretty nice.
@@SEWisconsinRailfan "(Unlike CP)" Lol for real!
Good video.
Thanks!
Nice catch of the trio!
Thanks!
Good video.
Thanks!
Nice.
Thank you!
Good catch. Thanx for the story to go with it in the description section.
Thanks!
Nice catch! Night catches are one of my favorite ways to catch a train. Especially if it's at a railroad crossing. Earlier today, I caught Amtrak 8 passing Pilgrim Rd #1/North Avenue. The leaders were typical chargers. The unique part was at the end of the train. A northern skyline car! I think it was the first time a saw one of those in person.
Awesome!
@@unstableatoms3456 Thanks! I wasn't even expecting on running into #8 today! Lol
Thanks! I enjoy night railfanning, it's a cool experience in person, but it's a little difficult to capture with my equipment, I don't have any fancy gear. In regards with that #8, I got a heads up of it to late to catch, oh well. I'd like to start catching more CP's on the Watertown Sub, I just haven't been railfanning it very much.
@@SEWisconsinRailfan Cool! Sorry you couldn't catch it. But ya, funny thing, I wasn't even expecting it. I was riding a van heading to my main high school. I was looking back at the Pilgrim Rd #2 crossing (the one you filmed.) with my phone out, and I turn around and the signals on #1 lit up. I was like "oh wow." They were deactivated last I checked. What a day it was.
Nice catch of the flagless GEVO leading the empty military train!
Thanks!
Interesting catch.
Thanks!
Yeah 😎
Nice catch! I know this used to be a road crossing, but it still baffles me that its a pedestrian crossing and its still a quiet zone.
Thanks! It's sure an odd one, but at least it's here.
