Overview of in-company trainer training | Swisscontact in Indonesia
The presence of In-Company Trainer (In-CT) is a key element for implementing the dual VET system. Swisscontact’s Skills for Competitiveness (S4C) Project has committed to improving the quality of trainers through In Company Trainer and Master Trainer Trainings. This initiative leads to bridge the gap between educational curricula and industry competencies. During project Phase I, S4C had conducted a series of In-CT trainings with 275 participants from 154 companies from all over Indonesia participated between 2018 to 2023.
Skills for Competitiveness (S4C) Project is born out of a direct demand for support from the Gvernment of Indonesia to address the demand supply mismatch on the labor market and the skills mismatch through reinforcement of the relationship between the education system and the local industry. The project is implemented by a Consortium led by the Swiss Foundation for Technical Cooperation (Swisscontact). The overall objective is to contribute to increase the competitiveness of the Indonesian Industry in selected sectors through better-qualified professionals educated at five vocational education institutions, in sustainable cooperation with the private sector. The Project is built on two components, namely a school development component and a system strengthening component. It would be interesting if you could mention how much this type of initiative generates in terms of business volume for the project's companies under NAAAM.
