Damn didn’t know this game had an actual story to follow, I don’t usually enjoy much games that are just about goofing around, I always gravitate towards titles that have actual progression and an end goal so this actually convinced me on buying it since I’ve always found it a very charming and fun experience despite the lack of story (as I had initially thought) that prevented me from getting it

I don't remember having the same issue with the dialogue boxes or the collision (although I had some issues with collision which were fixed with precise jumping I certainly didn't get thrown back like the clip as you spoke of it). I wonder if they are Switch exclusive issues as I played the Steam version. Or maybe I jwas just lucky (or you were unlucky). I finished playing this game just before your stream started and I enjoyed it greatly (both playing and watching). It was a fun few hours where I got to explore without stress and collect things and it scratched a completionist itch without being excessively grindy (even the litter picking achievement, the biggest grind, wasn't as bad as some games). Plus it was super charming. (I was also very ill at the time so it was also nice to have something simple and pleasant to play with added serotonin)

im half way thru the video, and i feel like ive watched a lot of animal crossing analysis-type videos but ive never seen 1. the 7/11 and other japanese store furniture, and 2. SELLING YOUR TOWN AND KEEPING YOUR CATALOGUE IN ACNL?? WHYD THEY RETIRE THAT OMFG (acnh was my first game, not including pocket camp)

I dunno. I hate to say it, but i feel like the farm folks people, yeah they made a dumb decision with that tweet. But, at the same time, I do genuinely feel like having a game that shakes it up a little bit would be kinda neat! They stated that their game isnt necessarily meant for the casual, super family-friendly audience, And I'm honestly interested to see where they take it. That, and, as strange as the art style is, it actually looks like the character customization in the game might be kind of neat! and, different, for once, in a life sim. I won't lie and say that I knew what it was before this drama, but I'm not going to lie about the fact that I'm a lot more interested in it than I am a lot of other cozy games lately. This game, inzoi, and like, that new, paper-mario looking one have been basically the only ones to tick my boxes lately.

I get that you're trying to talk about the points you personally enjoy, but... There's more to games than the diversity and inclusivity and stuff, but... How does it play? How do the controls work? How does the story play out? What is the best thing about the game other than the diversity? Like, i get it, but also it feels like you didnt even play the game, you just looked down the list on the website and you opened the character creator. Wouldnt you likely get more views and positivity if you outright stated it wasnt a review of the game itself, but it's diversity stuff? There's for sure an audience for it, so why limit yourself? People don't generally look for reviews for games from creators they don't know, and if they do, it's for an actual review. Even just a tagline, like "diverse, accessible, inclusive" would definitely open that window just that bit more.

I know I'm 7 months late, but for anyone who's had trouble with the fishing rod Eddy gives you at the beginning, you can upgrade it through his shop. You just need to have the florians and fishing level to obtain it. It tugs the fish faster and harder, even when they're swimming away.
