Feeling a little Vai in this one, well done. Maybe send me a track with one of these ideas? I take this track without OG drum track but with the click or a tempo I can set and throw some drums at this stuff?

​@@KirkNowlan I too know other bass players, but none with that special 4-letter-name panache. Would be pretty cool if we can take the "We Three Kirks" and make it real. As for this track, I did not save any of if, though I'd be happy to recreate it within the next few days. Saving the stems separately for transport and replacement.

Made it halfway through. Could be that it's too early for angry. I'll try again later. I have a historical preference for Glen Tipton's version. It retains the character of the song while injecting some metal energy. Vocals are so-so.

@@thrashnbash314 Oh man, I just can't do that. All on, or all off? You can have it. As I talked about in the stream, I believe people generally are more dynamic than that; even you. Breakneck 5 minute intervals of extreme ups and downs all the time is probably indicative of a problem, but ups and downs, twists and turns, and even loops and helices are pretty normal for everyday peeps. Just like when covering a tune, it's all about nuance. TBDM is not nuanced 😅

I am very happy with it. I'll be even happier when phase 2 is complete.

@@thrashnbash314 for the first half I would maybe use the term dark whimsy. Like if Danny Elfman met Thomas Newman and Bach at a party. The doubling is something I love to do whenever I write lead parts. The layering of different timbres really adds intention to the phrases.

Well at this point in the video I'm using a Duncan SH10 pickup into a TC Electronic Sentry (4 cable method)>Keeley compressor>Laney IRT Studio 15 on the rhythm channel (boost on)>Homebuilt cab with 12" Eminence speakers. The one Mic'd with a Sure SM57 is a Man o War running at 8ohms. In the FX loop I have a Sine Effects Mega Para> Caline Time Space. I'm also fond of Ernie Ball strings 9.5-46. Get the Mega Para. Everything else is flexible as long as your gain is not too distorted. You want grit and grind, not buzzsaw. You need clearer distortion for that.

Long list for the total, but during this video I was running: Laney IRT Studio 15 on the Rhythm channel (boost on 2ish) into a 2x12 cab that I built that uses 2 different Eminence speakers, but the one mic'd with a Sure SM57 is a Man O War 16ohm, the other being a Governor also at 16ohm wired in parallel. On the board (guitar to amp): TC Electronic Sentry (4 plug method) Keeley Compressor In the loop: Caline Time Space (cheap but really great!) EQD Afterneath Anything else?

Don't know what to tell you, man. A video's title isn't meant to be a description, that's what the description is for; And video length is always shown on the bottom right of the thumbnail. On the first point, have you ever bought an album anticipating the sound of some of the songs based on the title and upon first listening were disappointed the track(s) didn't sound what you thought it was going to sound like? I'm presuming that's the case here. The listener doesn't get that choice though. Titles are the decision of the person putting out the music. Can't hold it against Yngwie that Faster than the Speed of Light isn't really that fast. And here, although public, this particular video was made to show a real person that I can learn quickly and sound like David Gilmour when I set my mind to something. Bottom line: Unless I say it's a guitar cover or a tutorial, go into my uploads without expectation.
