Great job man! I absolutely love this Anthrax album. It's my fav by them and like you i got it when it first came out and i was like 15 years old. I didn't play guitar till a few years later but i wore this album out! And yes Dan Spitz lead style was very unique and hard to replicate.

Thanks dude! Always nice when a peer drops in to spread some joy and share mutual admiration for a band that was formative to us. Even nicer when I can tell you read the description in the video😁
Yes for overall longevity, Persistence and Among the Living are nearly interchangeable favorites, but I still tenaciously cling to a couple of tracks from State of Euphoria... which may or may not be on the "to-do list".
For Danny's leads. I confess I did a much better job on my covers of Horror of it All and Indians, and to some extent Caught in a Mosh, but it's all about nuance when trying to capture the "soul" and "character" of a lead and player. The more seasoned a player of that caliber gets the more nuance and subtlety is found within their playing. I fear (with a little exception here and there) that I probably could've executed it better and with more "Danny" spirit if I were in the habit of practicing more like I was doing between 2020 and 2021, but hey, a guy's gotta work. 🤷

I absolutely read the description. This album was absolutely better than State of Euphoria which was a bit of a letdown.
Rhythm wise, it looked like the most challenging part to play was the rhythm guitar behind the lead. Outside of that, the song looked pretty simple to play. You've often spoke to your love for Spitz's leads and his note choices.

      Hehe. I had to ask.
The most difficult parts were the 2 spots of very fast picking at 1:11 and 2:57 and believe it or not, the "paranoia" parts whenever I slid to the D. Everything else was just challenging to the dexterity of the right hand as a thrash song should be. The spots under the lead is a condensing of the pre chorus and it's weird to get it to sound right, but I wouldn't say hard.
