Floating Shelf Bracket Welding Pt. 3
Finishing up my DIY Floating shelf bracket and installing the floating shelf. I mark the screw holes, weld the bracket, and grind my welds flat. I use my counter sink to countersink my holes, attach the floating shelf bracket to the wall, and attach the floating shelf. I drill and install screws under the bottom of the shelf.

Anyiah Did Awesome ! Nice Job to both of U
Thanks! Will be fun looking back on this for years to come, she's already 11!
She's an awesome sidekick. Good introduction to the use and assembly of the tool😎
She was all about it!
Ideally it needs to sit in a durable pan to catch the cutting fluid with a pump and filter to recycle the liquid.
That would be the dream, but I don't think I'll go that far lol. I got sidetracked by other projects / life after this video, so I've got the lip, but no drain plug yet... not ideal lol
Where in the U.S. is there a repair facility for these mag drills?
@@ralphknoll486 I highly doubt there’s a dedicated facility / manufacturers facility. You could call vevor and see though. The price point is really low, so if you need it for pro use, I’d have another on hand or go with a different / US based brand. If I ever have issues with it, I live close to an electric motor repair shop. They’ve fixed up an old band saw, found electronic components for an old mig welder, and other miscellaneous things for me over the years.
Wouldn't you know it? No sooner do I make my. own copy of Michael's clever adapter when Godox releases a functionally equivalent, $14 ML-GB Godox-to-Bowens adapter 😞
Haha, imagine if they did it years ago when they released the godox mount lol
@@MichaelRoachWV FWIW I think your version seems much more substantial than the upcoming plastic Godox adapter. I used my "Roach-dapter" this afternoon and it's solid as a rock.
Yeah, just from looking at it, I could see theirs snapping / cracking easily. I haven’t broken any of my 3 yet!
Thank you for the video. Nah, she was an awesome assistant 😊
on the metal cutting circular saw, did you have the blade mounted in the proper direction? My Milwaukee cuts with the blade in the opposite direction from your standard circular saw.
I'll double-check it again to be sure!
Garbage!!
Seems my comment has been deleted :-( Just wanted thank you, Michael, for a brilliant design. Made one for myself today and it works perfectly.
Awesome! It's really lame that godox doesn't make this accessory. Compatibility matters!
@@MichaelRoachWV Remarkable that the gnomes in China haven't stolen your design by now.
I rarely laugh but the "that's what she said" sound woke the house up and earned you a thumbs up! didn't expect that. lol
I completely forgot I put that in this video lol, not everyone cares for my humor though... Yesterday I got a comment that read "You keep carrying on like a pork chop and you will be lucky to reach 1000 subscribers." lol my response was "lol my goal is to become a human pork chop…" to which I haven't received a reply... yet
You keep carrying on like a pork chop and you will be lucky to reach 1000 subscribers.
lol my goal is to become a human pork chop…
I made something very similar
I've got plans for a more minimal / mobile / lighter one in the future. Right now, my shop is a mess, but I can't wait to get it back in order
Bitte bohren immer ohne Handschuhe...
Does it also fit ad400pro in this configuration?
It should! I don't have an ad400 to test though
@@MichaelRoachWV if you have chance, can you check? From the video it seems that the sqaure part on the back might interfere with the 400 body... Very curious
What type of drill chuck you are using? one from vevor has a lot of runout...
I bought a semi-cheap one, so I didn't need to mess around with a key all the time Chuck: amzn.to/3w1fb4X Adapter: amzn.to/3TYHtoS
Hey how much would you charge me to make just one I’ll pay seriously!
She killed it awesome video brother.
What is the length and width of table did you purchase at Harbor Freight?
Mine is from Northern Tool, it's the Klutch Fixture Table (essentially, the same product, slightly altered) sovrn.co/y5hswdj I haven't purchased the Titanium table from Harbor Freight
godox, make this!!! Thank you. I'm going to make it myself😂😂
You might try a Pferd Victograin CC Grind disk. They are not only crazy aggressive, but they almost require you use a light touch.
I spied that magnetic floor sweeper 👌😎
YUP! I got a metal cutting circular saw… it should’ve come with it to be honest 😆
Just purchased a Klutch table and the top is welded to the frame
Thanks for the update! I'm still at 0 response from any of the "Product Reviewer" videos lol
Nice job thanks for teaching us personally I really appreciate it
No problem, I'm glad you found it useful!
I been using this heater for three years now. Having a usb powered fan helps circulate in fresh air. You can run an adapter hose and hook up to a big tank but I suggest using a filter if your doing that as I’m told the oil in the hose is not good for the heater and helps keep the flow clean. I build a stand for it that can still use small tanks or a hose and gives a better solid base. I haven’t quite had issues yet with the thermocouple but I’m told there is a way to fox that as well if you look online. Mine seems to start without much fuss still.
Mine's still going strong as well! I've never had any issues getting it started either, and it sits around for a year / sometimes two years. I've got one of the double-heaters I use in my garage (insulated). I crack the garage door and house door and blow a box fan from the house door.
Nicely done. I got my Vevor mag drill today and I bought it for the very same reason as you did.
It's definitely handy! and CHEAP lol
For my Drill Doctor I buy replacement dimond grinding wheel replacement s by Drill Doctor... Works like new ...
I tried that too lol, mines just too sloppy
Checked my Klutch accessories on Harbor Freight fixture table 100% compatible ...
Ok, so, Harbor Freight's lying? I was kinda skeptical when they labeled them as 5/8ths holes when I knew this product already existed. I had some doubts that China would swap to imperial just for them, but I was going off *their* specs. Thank you so much! I've messaged tons and *tons* of CZcamsrs who reviewed the new tables, and not *one* of them has ever responded!
I have the small Milwaukee metal cutting circular saw. It cuts 1/4" steel really well. As opposed to cutting wood with a circular saw where you want the blade to just barely protrude through the bottom of the cut, when cutting steel, I keep the blade protruding through the plate more to minimize the area of friction for the blade. Seems to help a lot.
I gave that a shot off-camera, but it felt even more dicey with this blade. I'll try that with the good blade next time I use it though!
Came for the neat idea for a mag drill, stayed for the shitty healthcare joke.
Well, it took being disabled from 2016-2022 to get correctly diagnosed lol. Went to every Doctor, Hospital, University Hospital and Mayo Clinic Rocheste… twice lol. In 2022, I got diagnosed by a local Rheumatologist… 4 miles from my house. I’ve got plenty more shitty healthcare jokes, and jokes about shitty health, shitty care, etc 🤷🏻♂️
@@MichaelRoachWV XD
Yeah, it is a very common problem in chi-neh, you know, not giving the tools enough time to ripen, and what you get is 15mm cutters; it even affects the people and the quality: look how short they all are... Not like those corn-fed Americans and their tools 🙂
I personally enjoy the split screen segments... also love dogs BTW
Thanks! I found a much faster way to shoot them, so I can edit them together in no time now!
Godox is losing out money....if they would make addpater :)
My thoughts exactly, way better than the s2 bracket
This is brilliant !!! and I want to buy one please. lol But seriously. I'll buy 2. I don't have grinding abilities 😩
I've thought of producing these, but sadly the parts are just expensive :/ it seems like a no-brainer product for godox
Truly. It would make the Godox life so much sweeter :/
if only you had the draw curtains from the tour days. that'd be a banger.
One can dream XD
Nice shelf! You’re funny too! 😂
Thanks! I have good writers!
And that’s how you do it! 😂
That will probably show up in every video :D
What are those chains for? Where did you get them? An ATV place? What size?
I'm not sure entirely what you're asking, but my guess is about the torque converter? A torque converter replaces the centrifugal clutch on the engine shaft. It uses an angled rubber belt to add smooth gearing. The back pulley, or driven pulley is connected to a jackshaft. When it spins, it spins the chain on the jackshaft which is connected to the rear wheel sprocket. I got it from Go Power Sports, you'll have to measure the shaft on your motor to get the right one. Mine was the Coleman 200 Series: www.gopowersports.com/minibike/torque-converter/kits/
Algorithm
Thank you, much appreciated!
Why not a 3d printed solution?
Because that requires a 3D printer! 😂 but in all seriousness, I think I found someone who used that solution when I was researching. There would be drawbacks, but it would be much more cost effective to produce. You could also 3d print the prototype and then have them mass produced. This would allow them to be injection molded with a stronger material.
I bought a klutch table about two weeks ago from Northern Tool, they're still coming welded to the upper frame.
THANK YOU! I’ll try and update the video tomorrow!
@@MichaelRoachWV I got no complaints, though I do plan to make my own larger table eventually, this thing definitely got me started off right
@@suspekt6702 there's no denying they're a tremendous value, but three years later, I'm done threading nuts lol
I personally think the shelf looks amazing! 😍
Thanks for the kind words <3, Hopefully you enjoyed my joke restraint
Nice job! One thing - when drilling with annular cutters - use firm downward pressure, in a continuous stroke. You should not 'peck' as that allows chips to bind in the side grooves on the cutter causing undo friction and scoring as well as enlarging the hole somewhat. Meanwhile - you have outstanding editing skills and your videos are very contagious! Could be due to you having such a great first name! Looking forward to the 16mm holes video - I'm guessing that's for the top of a fixture welding bench. Thanks for the humor! mike (yea , we have the same name!).
Dear Mike, Thanks for the kind words! I leaned towards peck drilling here because I was being somewhat cautious with my new creation lol. I needed to build my own confidence that the two bolts would be sufficient to hold the vise, and tap magic burns up super quick lol. I'm going to start using a thicker fluid for one-off holes, and then just use the coolant system whenever possible. Thanks for the kudos on editing... Every time I lie to myself and say, ok, I'm just going to do minimal editing this time... and so far that has yet to happen! The 16mm tabletop has yet to be started, but I've still got a bunch of videos to edit before that happens lol. Stay tuned and thanks for watching!

Nice website!! Even if the name is a bit lackluster 😂
Yeah, I use up all my creativity on my Dad Jokes sadly :/
@@MichaelRoachWV I mean they are funny dad jokes sooo 🤷🏾♀️
I like how you are sticking to the mini bike ethos of “fabricobbling”! If you want to climb mountains, get yourself a Juggernaut/Torquzilla driver. They operate in a lower range than a Comet style, quieter too. I went the 70 tooth route with the Comet. Problem is that you lose ground clearance to the sprocket. With the Juggernaut, I can use a 60 tooth, and have more torque than I had with the Comet/70 tooth. Shame on you for using the dog in an attempt to elicit an emotional reaction then attempting to take advantage of such. In spite of this, I am subbing on the merits of your build. Looking forward to the next installment;)
So, this is pulling into part 3 of the video that I'll *one day* make. The short version is 60 tooth, I believe a higher sprocket behind the torque converter (bought on ebay), and different clutch springs. I may have also changed the torque converter spring, or maybe the hole too, but I can't remember if I changed them back lol. I looked into the juggernaut, but I was mostly told it's for *fully built* motors and it wouldn't work (I have no idea if that was accurate, but I didn't look into it too hard). At that point though, I was starting to get away from the mini bike. My issue was that I was having more joint pain from my arthritis, and I wanted to carry more camera gear lol.
I know this isn't essentially an advice column. But I'm way down the knowledge curve on all this stuff (no schooling -- learn as I go from folks like yourself) Can you recommend a good (home user) basic tap and die set up? Thanks
No worries, we all have to start somewhere! I’m no authority / expert on taps & dies. The set I’m using is just a cheap one I picked up on Amazon. There’s no point in buying expensive taps / dies when you’re just starting out. The biggest thing that matters is your *technique* so you don’t end up snapping one! If you do, with a cheap set, no worries. In one of my mag drill videos I also use a diy “tap guide” to help get straighter threads. Here’s the set I have, nothing special, nothing fancy, SAE and Metric: amzn.to/415eAKG make sure to get cutting fluid and take your time!
I've got the Ryobi version. While a bit under powered, it is handy as hell. Great video.
I use 8 amp hour batteries on these, and it definitely gives them more pixies to work with! In my chainsaw video, I did a sound comparison with different batteries, and you can hear a major difference in the sound. Definitely get the biggest battery you can, it makes a world of difference with bogging / startup / operating speed.
What a cute and dynamic duo you two are! Also, loved her unboxing! “It’s going down baby!” 😂😂
My producers said I needed a co-host to carry me!
